After dinner, Luke insisted that he'd walk us girls back to the hostel or specifically, me...
I would have had no problem if Luke followed me to the hostel, but when his friends joined, it got annoying.
Kate started teasing Luke and Emy was engrossed in a deep conversation with Ahmed and Joshua, leaving me all alone, it's like they even forgot that I was with them, walking, and I was the main reason why they decided to come.
Some friends they are..
*Sighs*
I slowed down my place so that they'd walk in front of me, I just needed some peace and quiet.
I felt a presence come beside me, without having to look up I knew it was Ahmed, he smelt of the famous perfume, Smart Collection.
"Me ya faru?" (What happened?)
"Mine ne?" (What?)
From the little Hausa I know, I knew he asked me what happened but I'm not going to tell him...at least not now, if I do, I'm sure he's going to tell Luke about it and I don't want him, or should I say them, to worry about me.
Ahmed
********
She isn't going to tell me, maybe I should just drop the subject.
"Kana lafiya?" (How are you?), I asked.
"Lafiya kalau, na gode, kai fa?" (I'm fine, thanks and you?)
"Mai kyau." (Good).
"That's nice."
"Yeah, I see your Hausa is improving."
"Stop it oo Ahmed, as you're going like that I know that you'll try to tease me, don't even go there ooo, I'll finish you."
"Finisher, are you chicken? When did you turn to finisher??"
Idara
*******
Abi I said it.
This Hausa boy just wants to tease me.
"Ahmed, tsaya! Tafi." (Ahmed, stop! Go).
"Gaya min." (Tell me).
"Mine ne?!"
"Ka natsu (calm down), it's okay if you don't want to tell me, besides sorry for teasing you."
He's just too sweet. Omo, this kind thing go weak am when he reach Uni, I swear down.
"It's okay."
I started to pick up my pace because the others were already in front of the girls hostel and we were supposed to have prep by eight o'clock.
"Rage sauri." (Slow down).
"Tabi gaba." (Walk forward).
"Ok ma."
We reached our friends and I hugged Luke and Joshua good night but when it was my turn to hug Ahmed after the girls. He just said good night and left.
Looks like I angered him.
I'll make a mental note to say sorry later online.
Sorry Ahmed, I didn't want to keep my brother waiting but now, I see he's so engrossed in talking to Kate.
Kate and Luke.
Kate Ini Johnson, has a nice ring to it, don't ya think?
I'm sure going to tease her about it but as for now, it's time to be a bad sibling/ best friend.
#breakingthecoupleapart
Stupid right?
I don't have time to come up with good headlines so we'd just have to deal with that...for now.
Queue the drums...
One,
Two,
Three,
Drumroll...
"Kate!"
They both turned to face me, surprise clearly printed on both their faces, it's like they forgot I was even there.
"Umm...um...Idara."
Stuttering, she definitely has a crush on my brother.
Hmm, my Bros and my bestie, wonders no go end for this life.
"Yes ma, it's me, your one and only bestie, now, aren't you forgetting something?"
She furrowed her bros and her face srunched up, she was thinking.
"Am I?"
"Yes, prep, does that ring a bell?
As if I could hear the clocks working in her brains and then just like a light bulb, she awoke, she's back.
"Prep! Oh my goodness, come on besty, bye luke."
Before I could even wave at Luke she had dragged me inside with her.
I'm certainly sure she forgot to back her books for prep, she does this almost, literally every time and I have to end up packing her books for her, she's just so lucky we're in the same class.
She would have suffered by now. Princi's office would have been her next destination.
As I predicted, I had to help her pack her books so that we wouldn't be late.
Although getting to the prep hall late wasn't an offense, especially if it was on the first day because the school authorities knew that we would be tired, but we can't stay in the hostel, we have to at least appear in the prep hall so that we would be counted, unless you aren't willing to eat the next morning then it's okay.
But then again, who would want to eat on a Monday morning?
That person must be crazy.
Hunger will just wire you till the end of the day. In fact you're intestines go start to they sing song give you. (You will be very hungry till the day ends. Your intestines will start singing for you).
Na that time where you go sabi say food dey important (It is then that you'll know that food is important).
Arriving the prep hall, we searched around for Emy, she had sent a text to Kate, saying that we should meet with her and Faith outside the hall but I can't seem to spot them and neither can Kate.
I just wan find place sit down, my leg dey pain me (I just want to find a place to sit down, my leg is aching).
Since girls and boys share the same prep hall, I scanned the hall for the boys, I spotted Joshua and he was talking to....Emy.
And then something else caught my eye, John?
When last did I talk to him?
Oh, I remember, when he told me he likes me, I sort of bailed out on him and it wasn't fair...
I'll need to talk to him later about whatever he told me.
Since Emy was talking to Joshua, I decided to look for Faith and I saw her at the very end of the hall, earpiece plugged, surely listening to music, volume up, ignoring the world.
Time to disturb...
I'm very quiet ooo, don't forget, but when you know me, I'll disturb you till no end.
