Chapter Six

Grian P.O.V.

Dream

He was trapped.

Trapped in a cage.

His friends were dying in front of him.

And it was all his fault.

No, it's not!

Nightmare+Depression, Doc. Do I need to say more?

I get it. Doesn't mean that I like it.

Fair.

Everyone was accusing him for Doc's death.

And even worse, all his injuries were healed!

All that punishment, thrown out the window.

Why?

He deserved it!

"It's your fault!"

"Go die! It's not like we care!"

Maybe he would.

He took the knife up to his throat...

And promptly awoke.

No dream

He was in his base.

At least, it looked like his base.

He didn't know why he was in a hospital bed, though.

"Grian? Your awake!"

"Mumbo? Why am I in a hospital bed? Why am I not dead?"

Why was he still alive?

He guessed whoever controlled the world just wanted to torture him.

I mean, that is true...

At least I like happy endings!

Thank goodness for that!

Why couldn't he just die?

Mumbo P.O.V.

He was silent.

Even if he didn't take the knife in his hand seriously, the way Grian had said that confirmed that he was suicidal.

He couldn't blame him.

After all, Grian was betrayed by all of them.

The door opened.

"Mumbo, can I talk to you? False will take care of Grian." X asked.

"Ok." He replied in a shaky tone.

He walked into the main room of Grian's base.

Grian was such a good builder.

"Why did you want to talk to me, X?"

"Well, how do I put it? Grian had an old server that was corrupted by a glitch named Herobrine, formally the first admin ever created that got corrupted by power. This glitch fed of negative emotions and used that ability to eventually kill Grian's friends. Grian found Hermitcraft, but Herobrine followed him and killed Doc two months later. He used Doc's death to make us abandon him, and manipulated the code to make Grian depressed. However, Grian still is depressed even without the manipulation. Oh, and this glitch was the same thing that teleported me and that I managed to delete."

What?

Appropriate reaction.

I suppose it is.

A glitch was sentient and able to feed off negative emotions?

And also, Grian's friends were murdered!?

This would definitely cause depression, even without his code being manipulated like X said it was.

Grian had no idea how much he cared.

Why, oh why did this have to happen?

Oh yeah, because a sentient glitch decided Grian was a good target.

Why Grian? He was so innocent and cute...

He did NOT just think Grian was cute!

Denial.

Anyway, this was a complete disaster.

Why couldn't everything just be normal?
