Chapter Five

X P.O.V

He was trapped.

He didn't know where he was, but he knew that he was trapped.

And getting tortured.

He assumed that he was in a desolate area, but he couldn't be sure.

Then, the door was opened.

Grian was there, in the hallway, except...

He looked dead.

His eyes were angry, but also tired and emotionless.

He had bags under his eyes, and just seemed very tired.

His sleeves were rolled up, and...

There were scars there.

What had they done?

"Stay away from him. You're allowed to hurt me, but your not allowed to hurt my friends!"

The white-eyed Steve, who X assumed was Herobrine, just snapped his fingers and sent Grian to the ground.

Grian seemed to enter a trancelike state.

His eyes became even more bloodshot than before.

He seemed way more tired.

Way more dead.

Grian's right eye started to glitch.

He stared in a mirror that had just appeared.

He took his right hand and clawed at his eye, causing it to bleed.

"Grian!" X shouted.

It seemed to snap him out of the trance.

Grian slowly turned towards him.

Then he seemed to remember that Herobrine was here.

Grian turned towards Herobrine and started talking.

"Why did you kill the people on Evo?"

Evo?

"They were useless to me. They had already severed all other connections that they had, and you were just more powerful."

Herobrine had killed some of Grian's old friends?

"How did you get here?"

Don't we all want to know.

"I followed you here."

X had suspected that.

"Why did you kill Doc?"

If Herobrine has killed before, then it's likely he did kill Doc.

"As a way to make you feel betrayed."

Well, X thought that he had succeeded.

After all, everyone hated Grian now.

"Why would you need me to feel betrayed?"

Yeah, why?

"Well, I feed off negative emotions, and betrayal is easy to manipulate."

How had he not caught this?

There was a glitch in Hermitcraft.

They were doomed.

Grian P.O.V.

No one touches his friends.

He didn't care if he got hurt, but Herobrine had gone too far.

He didn't care if Herobrine was making him feel this way.
