"Hey! Can't I just say I'm sorry?" Gerard heard Frank say from out the window, interrupting his breakfast. He didn't even look back at him, just gave him the finger as he ate his toast "Gerard! I'm trying to be an adult and talk about this! Just hear me out!"

Sighing, he finally looked back at him "I thought I told you to not come near me ever again?" He was once again outside his window, still in his pyjamas even though he had work in almost ten minutes. Frank grinned.

"You said to not come into the shop ever again! Technically I can still talk to you!" He called back up to him, and that's when Gerard decided to shut his shudders. With Franks muffled yelling from outside, Gerard grabbed his apron and tied it around his waist as he headed downstairs.

The day dragged on, people filing in and out of the shop, including his friend Ray who worked at a music store down the street. He ended up buying some flowers for his girlfriend, but not before asking Gerard about the tattoo parlor that just opened up next door "Oh, it's nothing. But I kind of think the guy working there is some sort of criminal."

"Oh, that's a shame." Ray responded "I was actually thinking of getting a tattoo sometime soon. But I wouldn't really wanna get a tattoo from a criminal." Gerard nodded but, before he could say anything, his eyes glanced to the door and his face went white. A large, brutish man with many tattoos all along his arms walked inside and started walking among the aisles and looking at the bouquets.

Ray said that he had to go, but Gerard was sure that it was because of his newest customer. The man ended up buying some flowers as well, and as Gerard fearfully handed him the money, he said that Frank had sent him to give him something, and he pulled out a bright red rose.

Gerard glared at the dainty flower, because Frank had actually found a way around his 'no going into the store' rule "He says he's sorry." The man told him, causing Gerard to look back up at him.

"Tell Frank I don't accept his apology." He told the man, and he watched as he exited the store to go to the tattoo parlor. Gerard had already had enough of the day, so he decided to close up shop early. When he got upstairs, he placed the rose in the water with all the other ones.

He couldn't sleep. Gerard didn't exactly know why, but he couldn't sleep. Maybe it was because of Frank again, he was a bit too harsh on him. And so far, Frank didn't seem like very much of a criminal. The only thing he could nitpick about him was that he had tattoos and he smoked, but Gerard used to smoke as well and knew that not everyone with tattoos was a criminal.

In fact, Frank was always sweet and kind to him and had even kicked out that guy who had touched him. But Gerard didn't want to think about that. Frank was always comforting him and it was maddening. He was an adult, he should be able to take care of himself. He shouldn't have to have sweet guys like Frank going out of their way to protect him.

Tossing and turning in his bed, Gerard finally decided to just give up and went to the kitchen to make some coffee. As he was heating up the water, he suddenly heard music from outside. He carefully opened his shudders to see Frank standing right outside his window strumming an acoustic guitar and singing to him.

His eyes widened at rhe sight, and he closed his eyes as he listened to Franks beautiful voice. He let himself get lost in the sound of the acoustics and it felt like his voice flowed right through him. In that moment, he knew that Frank was different. He wasn't a criminal or a bad guy at all, in fact he was the most kind, beautiful, amazing person Gerard had ever met.

When the music stopped and the song was over, Gerard opened his eyes to see Frank staring right back at him nervously awaiting his response. He smiled "I didn't know you could sing."

Frank grinned "What are you doing up so late?" He asked and Gerard shrugged.

"Couldn't sleep. I'm glad I didn't miss your little concert, though." He giggled, and Frank smiled even wider. Then there was a long silence between them, and Gerard knew what he had to do "I'm sorry for getting mad at you. I didn't have any reason to, you were just trying to help."

"It's alright, I get it." Frank said understandingly "It's not your fault, Gerard. You were in a bad place and it's fine to feel like that." Then, there was another moment of silence, this one more comfortable than the last "So, does this mean I can come into the store again?"

Gerard giggled "Of course you can. I... Kind of missed you, actually." Frank smiled back at him hopefully, eyes glimmering "Not that I can't be by myself for one day. It's just that I kept expecting you to come in and you didn't. It was weird, since you've only been here for a couple days and having you around is still kind of new to me. But the flower shop kind of feels... Empty without you."

"Well I'll make sure to stop by tommorrow, then." Frank said, his smile bigger than ever. And with that, he left Gerard staring after him as he walked back inside. After having his coffee, he went straight back to bed. And for some reason, although he did just have caffeine, he fell right to sleep with his mind filled with nothing but happy thoughts.

I don't know how to feel about this chapter, honestly, but I hope you guys had fun reading it. I'll try and make the next one a bit more spicy.
