As he leaned into the feeling of Franks lips he felt the bouquet that was in between them be crushed slightly, but they didn't care. They were completely lost in the moment and it felt like it was just the two of them there, holding eachother like their lives depended on it.
When they finally pulled away, they just stared deep into eachothers eyes, not seeming to be able to do anything else. Gerard was afraid to speak and he knew he probably should have apologized, but he couldn't seem to find the words to. Finally, Frank opened his mouth to speak.
"Wow."
"Yeah." Gerard smiled. He didn't exactly know why he did that, but something was telling him that Frank was good for him. Maybe he would lose the flower shop, maybe not, but he had to give it a shot. What was the worst that could happen? "Do you want to go on a date?"
Frank smiled even wider "Really?" Gerard nodded shyly, now realising how bad it would be if he rejected him. But Frank just brought him in for another hug, careful not to squish the bouquet that was in between them "Yes. Yes, of course I'll go on a date with you. You're adorable."
After they pulled apart Frank led him back outside, carefully blocking his view of the needles, and said goodbye in front of the flower shop. Gerard didn't really know where to put the bouquet, but then he remembered the vase he had upstairs. And, who would be up there sitting in his living room but his own brother.
"Where did you get that from?" He asked, not bothering to explain why he was in his apartment. To Gerard, he didn't really need that much of an explanation, since this happens whenever his parents are in town. Mikey doesn't want to be stuck inside with mom and dad, so he goes to his brothers apartment and that's where he stays the whole time they're there.
"They're from my neighbor, Frank, and guess what? I asked him out! And he said yes! Oh, god, but do you think mom and dad will be okay with it? I mean, he's a really nice guy and all, but he just has so many tattoos. It's actually kinda hot. No, wait, it's really hot. Like, seriously Mikey, I can't wait for you to meet him! He's so-"
"Can't I just meet him right now?" Mikey asked, interrupting Gerards ranting "He does live right next door, as you said."
"No!" Gerard said all too quickly "You're just gonna embarrass me, Mikey! This is what you do to all of my boyfriends!"
Mikey raised an eyebrow "Are you two boyfriends? Or are you dating?" Gerard narrowed his eyes, clearly annoyed.
"Is there really that much of a difference?"
"Yes."
Gerard sighed frustratedly. What were they? Boyfriends? No, that might be moving a bit fast. So were they just dating? But it almost seemed like Gerard wanted more than that, that he wanted to be with Frank for the rest of his..... No. No, that was thinking way too far ahead "We're dating. Just dating. But, I still don't trust you."
"Fine." Mikey huffed, and went back to what he was doing on his phone. Gerard went into the kitchen and carefully placed the bouquet into the vase with the rest of the roses Frank had bought him. He really did feel sort of guilty that Frank would buy him things but he never got him anything.
But they had a date, which meant he could spend money on him this time. So, after helping Mikey with the pull out couch, he went straight to bed. He wanted to get a full nights rest so he could be ready for tommorrow and surprisingly, he did. For once, he had no interruptions while he was trying to fall asleep, and he couldn't help but smile.

"Gerard? Gerard, wake the fuck up." He squinted at the bright light that entered through his window and into his room, and buried his face in his blanket to hide from the morning sun "Gerard, I swear to god, get up or I'm gonna show Frank your collection of star wars dolls!"
Immediately, he removed the blanket from over his head "Mikey! They're action figures, and bounty hunters at that! Get out of my room!" Then, he quickly got up and pushed his brother out the door so he could get dressed for work.
When he came out of his room, there was already food on the counter in the kitchen-donuts, to be exact, from his favorite bakery. Gerard tentatively picked one up "Mikey, you didn't have to go get donuts. I was going to make breakfast anyway."
"You really suck at cooking, though, and I wanted something that I could actually eat this time." Mikey retorted, which resulted in him getting a donut thrown at his face "Hey! It's not my fault you're bad at cooking!"
Gerard rolled his eyes "It was one time. I burn the eggs one time, and suddenly I'm the worst cook in existence!" He snorted in disgust as Mikey picked up the thrown donut from his lap and took a bite, exposing the red jelly that was inside "Just try not to scare off the customers while I'm working." Gerard said as he tied the apron around his waist and went downstairs.
The day was quite uneventful, but that didn't stop Gerard from getting excited. Today him and Frank would go out together, and Gerard had planned it all out in his head what they would do and where they would go. He couldn't wait until his shift was over, and the whole day he was filled with absolute joy.
Omg I feel like this turned into such a shitty fanfic. And I feel like no one reads this shit either, so idk.
