"Evangeline, wake yourself up! It's nearly noon and we have to travel to my father's school!" Gabrielle Xavier called out. My eyes fluttered open as I stretched sore limbs and took in my surroundings. When she'd gone to bed last night I had stayed up to edit my most recent photo shoot.

In case I haven't mentioned it, Gabrielle is my life time best friend. She's also from England.

"I'm coming!" Cracking my neck, I stood up and took a deep breath. "Okay, new day. New starts. Let's see what it's got for me." I quickly stepped into the shower, smiling and singing "A Team" by Ed Sheeran in perfect harmony with the original playing from my cell phone.

"Alright listen, your polka dotted duffel is by the door. Heres a granola bar to tide you over." She commented, tossing it in my general direction. Her brown eyes regarded my outfit- high waisted shorts with tan gladiator sandals and a crocheted white crop top. "Yes, you do look hot. I'll be surprised if someone isn't staring by the time we get there."

I rolled my eyes, smirking. Stupid mind readers. I hate them all. I grabbed my perfume bottle, spritzing it on and exiting my room with "I See Fire" playing through my headphones. Gabrielle and I had a quaint little cottage. I was in love with it. "Okay, I'm ready. Are you?" I motioned for my bag and a couple more things in there, nodding. "COME ON YOU TROLL LET'S GO!"

Grinning, I shouldered my bag and locked the house, following her to the car we shared. "How long until we're at the school?"

"2-4 hours. Just plug in those headphones, I'll turn on the radio and each of us can have our hours of quiet time." That was all I needed to hear. Nodding, I smiled and began drifting off to sleep.

She woke me up whenever we arrived! "What the heck?!" I yelled, slapping her arm as she burst out laughing. It was a beautiful school, I have to give her father credit. I'd totally live here. "Why didn't you wake me?! I would've driven!"

"I never get you quiet like you were. I had a whole conversation with my father AND my boyfriend while you were asleep." A stupid smile crossed her face as she parked her car and shut the door behind her. "Come on! I'll show you around!" Shouldering my backpack, I was soon in step with Gabrielle as she began showing me around the outside of the building.

There was one particular guy who caught my attention. He was ATTRACTIVE. Dark hair, his body adorned with a white wife beater top and jacket, light denim jeans and a pretty good hand on him at that. "Who is HE?!" I hissed, grabbing her arm and pointing in his direction. She rose an eyebrow, smacking her hand over her mouth. "Gab, he is FINE."

"That's Logan. He's off limits. Well, no. Technically not. I'll explain later." She led me inside, down a hall and before she could take me to her father, I caught sight of my aunt.

"STORM!"

The white haired teacher turned around and grinned as I ran into her arms. Gabrielle laughed, walking forward and smiling at Storm. "Gabrielle, still same person. And Evangeline! I missed you!" She kissed my forehead, smiling brightly. "Meet me for lunch and we can talk then!" A ghost of a smile crossed her lips as she walked into the room full of students.

Gabrielle opened a door, standing against the wall and watching her father at what he did best. Teaching his students. We'd gone in behind him, so the way we were looking at him he couldn't see us. All the students were wide eyed and pointing in our direction. Biting my lip, I outstretched my hand and turned him around. Gabrielle smiled so big I thought she was going to cry. "Hi Daddy."

"Daddy?" A student whispered out loud. I chuckled, waving at the Professor.

"Hello Charles. It's been a while." I shook his hand, taking controlled breaths. He'd taught me how to control that power whenever I was a little girl. Fairly well anyway. "What's been going on lately?"

A sad look crossed his face. "We will resume this later children. Class dismissed." A hooray echoed through the room as excited students exited it. Gabrielle took her fathers hand, a look of sadness spreading over her face. She looked exactly like her mother. Agent MacTaggart. Or so I thought that was her mother. "Jean died, left Logan and Scott in a state of depression. Logans gotten over it for the most part, Scott though. Not so much. Logan and Storm are currently in the simulation room with a class. He should be out sometime soon."

You seem to have gotten more powerful my dear. I'd easily rank you a class 4 now.

I smirked lightly, adjusting my outfit. He was a sneaky one. "Evy," Gabrielle started, making me glare at her. "Can you wait outside? I won't be a moment." I nodded, walking out of the room and leaning against the wall. I loved Charles. He was the father figure I'd been needing my whole life. "Okay. NOW, we go for food."

I slapped her arm, completely unaware of the fact I was being watched intently by my aunt and the Wolverine from behind.
