''Come on!" I yelled to my students. It was a typical Wednesday morning and I was doing extensive training. We were doing a real life battle simulation and so far we were kicking butt. "Alright Marissa, your turn."
Marissa, now 6, took a small step forward. Her eyes closed and she lifted her hands, sending the robot flying. "Launch me!"
I ran forward, launching her into the robot. Not two minutes later, a giant head hit the ground. "That's SICK." Johnny, an elemental mutant chuckled. "Good one Mar!"
"Alright, class dismissed. Lunch time everyone!" A couple of older students stayed behind, mainly for the harder training since currently it's the younger children's lunch.
"Oh! Miss James, your boyfriend is infiltrating our class!" Jenna, {a 16 year old mutant who could control electricity and force fields} yelled. I face palmed, throwing out my hand to keep Logan from touching me. "That's called Karma, Logan!"
"Log. I love you to death, but you know Xaviers rule." Charles had a rule couples that were teachers couldn't be together in the same room during classes. "Go on. I've got older students to teach."
"Oh, come on Evangeline!" Alexander, {an 18 year old telepath} groaned. "Go and join your husband!" He winked at me, placing his hands on his hips.
"Not my husband, mind you. I'm calling Miss Xavier." Pulling out my cellphone to call Gabrielle, Gracelyn {23 year old speed mutant; one of my best students} ran past and snatched it.
Next thing I knew, Jonathan and Gracelyn had both gotten me outside, where it was.. night?
"You know for once, I can actually say you look absolutely breath taking." I turned around to see Logan, who'd taken the liberty to change his outfit and put on my favorite cologne.
"Well according to you, I always look breathtaking so..." I grinned, running into his arms. "Hello Logan."
He stroked my hair with his fingers gently. "Hello Evangeline." He whispered. "You're sweaty."
"Thank you captain obvious." I replied, burying my nose in his chest. "You're so warm."
"Says the one who is warmer then I am." He grabbed my hand, leading me over to the table and pulling out my chair. Reaching under the table, he grabbed two boxes of Chinese and set them on the table. "Dinner is served."
"Drink babe?" I replied, undoing the box and tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
Logan snapped his fingers and Gabrielle walked out, two glasses of sodas on top of a tray. "Here you are, sir. Ma'am."
"What the heck did you do to her." I said in all seriousness, taking a sip of my coke. "She never calls me ma'am. And SHES OLDER."
"Okay, hello? This thing working?" Chewing on some sweet and sour chicken, I turned to see Kitty and Rogue standing in the middle of the courtyard with two wireless microphones attached to them. "Okay, Logan! You're a total BA." Logan chuckled, continuing to eat his food. "Had it not been for you I wouldn't be here. Ev! You're gorgeous and you've taught me so much. You and Logan are adorable and I hope you have a great future together."
"Okay, what are-" I was interrupted by Rogue and Kitty bursting in two part harmony to the song "Down" by Jason Walker. "Logan.." I listened intently to the harmonies, feeling my eyes tear up as Logan grabbed my hand. "How'd you know to have them sing that? That's my favorite song ever."
"One night whenever you were sleeping, you were singing. I understood the words perfectly so I looked it up and asked Gabrielle what it meant to you." I rose an eyebrow and chuckled. I closed my box and stared at my boyfriend. Mind you, my amazingly good looking boyfriend. "She told me all about it, so I asked Eogue and Kitty to sing the first one."
"The first one?" As the song ended, Bobby brought out dessert and I turned to the singing to see Gabrielle. She had her hair pinned up the same way I'd had one for her fathers memorial funeral and she was wearing a black mini dress. "Gab?"
"Logan!" She exclaimed, flashing a smile. "When I met you whenever I was a teenager, I'll admit I had a giant crush on you. But now I'm glad my best friend is dating you." She smiled, turning to me. "Ev, I don't even know where to start. You've always been there for me and I'm so thankful I met you. This song is "Cry" by Jason Walker. Hope you like it."
I was so lost in Gabrielle's singing that I didn't realize what Logan was pulling out of his jacket.
"Evangeline," I slowly turned to see him on one knee, and everything clicked in about two and a half seconds. "You are the love of my life and the one person I want to be with. Before I met you, I was so inconsiderate of people around me. I didn't care. I was so broken. But you, my dear, have taught me so much in the course of a few months. I fell in love with all of you and I can see myself spending the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"
I was already crying at that point. "Logan, you moron. Of course." He grinned, grabbing me by the waist and twirling me around in his arms. Students around me were cheering and whooping."KISS HER!" A chorus of chants erupted around me and Logan shrugged. I nodded and we closed the gap, probably being the sweetest kiss I've ever bad with him.
