Evangeline's POV

After that whole fiasco was over, I was packing to go back to Maine. "Alright, DONE." I let out a breath of exhaustion, flopping onto the bed frowning. I wasn't exactly in the best mood, because I was going back alone. Gabrielle was staying due to her fathers death.

"Babe, why aren't you staying?" When I heard that voice, at first I thought it was Logan. Sitting up, I gasped as Victor Creeds eyes met mine. He stood in all his glory, baring his fangs. "You have gotten more gorgeous since the last time I saw you."

"Victor," I snarled, tossing a small ball of black magic between my hands as menacingly as possible. He wasn't hard to beat. Him and Logan were related. The last time I had seen him was whenever he'd come to kill Gabrielles sister who was ranking into a higher class every year she got older. "Do not cross me Creed. I am not in the mood."

Victor opened his mouth to say something when a knock was heard at the door. "Stay here for your little lover," He snarled, his claws retracting from his hands. I yelped as three long gashes soon appeared on my legs. That idiot CUT me! "Or I'll do something that'll make you WANT to stay." I growled deeply as he then turned and jumped out the window.

"Ev?" Gabrielle called from outside the door.

"Yeah babe, in here." Smiling slightly, my eyes widened as she revealed a bright green envelope with her full name on it. "Is that?-"

"My DNA test." She slowly pulled out a paper and literally face palmed at the result. "It's Raven. Of COURSE it's Raven!" She snapped. Chuckling, I crossed my arms. "That means I should be able to shape shift."

She concentrated for a moment, and when I opened my eyes I was looking at about three different people. Xavier, Jenna, and my mom. that's how fast she was shifting. "Evangeline?"

Logan!

"I'm coming Logan!" Motioning her to lay in her bed, I opened the door. Logans hand flew out of no where and immediately gripped my wrist. "Yes?"

"Training. Now." He led me through a hall, into a large white and silver room littered in mats. "Hit me."

I looked at him skeptically. "WHAT?"

"Hit. Me."

"Don't fall!" I exclaimed, kicking his legs out from under him. He growled deeply, his claws appearing from his hands. "Boom."

Oh. I forgot to mention my Xmen name is now Remnant. I (using my power) threw him against the ceiling as hard as possible. "Ev-"

"No no," I shook my finger which made him body slam the mat. "Claws in hands." His eyes were now blank as his claws retracted back into his hands. I whipped around, flipping him over my shoulder.

"Okay, you win!" He panted. I straddled him, touching my forehead to his. I let out a ear piercing scream. I saw Victor. All Victor. "Evangeline, what's wrong?"

I scrambled backward, cowering in fear. "V-Victor!" He cocked his head, his eyebrows furrowing in concern. "Go away Victor!"

"I'm not Victor, Ev. It's me, Logan." He knelt down, brushing my knee with his hand. "It's me. I'm not gonna hurt you." Looking deeply into his eyes, I suppressed a smile. Love, concern, and compassion flashed through his dark brown orbs.

"Logan-" I sobbed.

"Evangeline, I promise you that as long as I'm here everything will be alright. Victor will never touch you." Smiling, I gently brushed my lips against his. He pushed his hands into my shoulders and I was soon up against the wall. His lips connected with mine ever so sweetly, moving from my lips to my collar bone. "Ev, I love you."

Boom. Step two of making me fall in love. Convince me you actually love me and I'll most likely fall for it. I looked at him, cocking my head and smirking. "I love you to you idiot." He grinned, pulling me up with him. I felt his nose bury into my neck and the door of the training room flew open.

Logan flew against the back wall and slumped down, passing out. I growled deeply, running over to him and checking his pulse. Alive, but unconscious. I turned around slowly, feeling my magic pulse through my veins as a figure entered the room. My jaw dropped in shock at who I saw. Standing in the door, was my mother.
