After an hour and half of protest on what to wear with clary, gilbert's girlfriend, I finally kicked her out and put on a formal shirt. Who cares on what to wear? It's just work. Not a party.
I drove like a ricocheting bullet, praying the CEO would be late and not me. Max greeted me and the other girl, Alice pulled me into a hug. Yeah, we met yesterday. She bumped into me and screamed into my ears until I told her that she did not hit the ground because she fell on my leg. She apologised until I had enough of it and decided to leave. Crazy right?
I made coffee and taking a deep breath, knocked on the Mr.William's door.
''Good morning Mr.William , here's your co........'' I trailed off as I looked up at .... at the ... monster.
Mr. Ugly was surprised to see me too but covered it up and put a wide smirk on his stupid face.
'' I see, you're the new assistant?''
'' Yeah, or why would I bring you coffee?'' I placed his coffee on the table.
'' Are you not going to resign?'' I looked at him as if he crazy.
'' I signed a One-year contract didn't I? Besides, I am not a coward.'' He leaned on the table.
''Then, Miss. Jones, I will show you hell.'' I smiled at him.
''And I will show you what the devils in the hell are like.'' He blinked at me, amusement clear on his face. And he just stared at me.

I walked around the table and leaned, resting my palms on the arms of his chair. His smirk fell.
''And I warn you, I can stoop to the level of a child. I will make you regret your choice.'' With a smirk on my face, I straightened and walked out of his office. I mentally patted my back for the brave talk. If he wishes to play, so shall I play along.
I spent rest of the day in my office sorting the papers and signing them. Carter was just next room but I had to go to the second floor to meet his visitors. My office was just as cool as Carter's. One could see the skyscrapers stretch and meet the clouds. The blue sky blended along with it. I wonder what sunset would look like.

CARTER'S POV
That lady and her guts. Never in my life has a woman spoken that way to me. She was as tall as me, few inches less. Her green eyes always held challenge and confidence. Not to mention, she was hot and pretty but simple. The first thing I had to do was to inform Bryan, Ben and Ariana about this.
They already loved her since the car parking incident. They literally seemed to worship her. No one has ever called me that. Am I not hot and hard to resist? But she never seemed to notice, that was what frustrated me. And NO one rejects me.
On cue, my phone rings.
''Hey car, we're planning the twin's birthday today. How about Hollins House?''
''Yeah ok. Fine with me, Ari.'' Have I told you, my sister was the most energetic creature on earth?
''What's wrong? You seem down.'' Ver voice was laced with concern.
''Just thinking. Hey, you remember that girl yesterday we met in the car parking?''
''The one that rejected you and called you Mr. Ugly? How could I ever forget her?'' I rolled my eyes at the intro.
''Yep, she is my new Personal assistant.'' The line went quiet.
''Ari? What's wrong? Are you okay? Is everything alr......'' I removed the phone from my ear as she screamed like a banshee into it. WHAT THE HELL???!!!!
'' Did you just say....? Could you repeat that?'' She squealed.
''No, am not repeating. That's exactly what you heard.''
''OH MY GOD. She's lucky I am busy today. I'm dying to see her. I'll have to break this news to Bryan and Bryan. I can soo.. imagine their expressions. It's going to be fun.'' And then she hung up with a laugh. What's wrong with her? Why is she acting like I am pregnant??
