I stood there, looking blankly at the most idiotic person I had ever seen. And I think it is impossible to find another one like him. At least 'I' am not an idiot to go looking for an another idiot when I already have one in front of me. He smirked...
As always, Billy made the first move. He aimed a punch towards my face and I stepped aside hitting him with my elbows. He grunted and jabbed me in my ribs, giving a satisfied smirk.
''I see you've been catching up, old man.'' Ha! That replaced the smirk with a scowl.
''I am not old.'' He tried to sweep his legs under me, but I jumped and kicked him on his side. He was quickly back on his feet and caught hold of my hand. I gave him an 'evil grin' as Carter put it and twisted his arm so that I was holding his.
'' Too slow, baby boy!'' He turned me around and my back was against him.
''You're trapped, so-called- young lady.'' He whispered in my ears. With all my strength, I held his forearms and flipped him. He fell with a thud onto the floor and he found himself trapped under me with my knees on his chest. The room erupted with cheers and the kids jumped around as if they had won a lifetime supply of Kitkats. That sounded like me.
''That barely lasted five minutes, old man. But you're not so bad.'' He rolled his eyes at me and accepted my hand. I brushed my pants and turned towards the others.
''Guys, this is Billy. He's an asshole.'' He elbowed me in my ribs but I continued anyway, ''Billy, these are my friends.''
''And your boyfriend.'' He added and we all stared at him.
''How did you know?''
''I can already read him like an open book.'' Carter frowned at him.
''I think you're a spy.'' Billy cracked up. '' I see you've gotten yourself few girlfriends too.''
I nodded like a good kid,'' Not few. Only two. And I am already dying.'' Casey and Ariana shared glances. Probably on how to torture me for this.
Billy left us alone after roasting everyone and Ben was already a tomato. We were sitting on the couch.
''Yeah.'' Bryan said out of nowhere.
''What?''
''Isn't that how you start a conversation?''
''Right! So, I came to know that my dad had an account in my name when I was 18 and I didn't know what to do with it. So, I planned to construct this.'' I waved around.
''And the kids?''
''I bring the orphaned kids from where I travel or from the other orphanages where they weren't treated well. Sometimes, my friends help them get here. Its easy for the kids to get together, because,'' I gave a weak smile. '' They have one thing in common – broken hearts.'' Carter squeezed my hand and I gave him a slight nod telling him that I was okay.
''What about you? I mean, you spent the money for the children..''
''I earned it myself. I taught in a martial institute as a part time job.'' I was surprised as Casey reached over and put her arms around me. I patted her back awkwardly, not know what to do.
''Um.....didn't the story have a happy ending?'' I asked while the others laughed.

CARTER POV
I rubbed my eyes in annoyance. Even after three hours, I couldn't complete this project. I shut my eyes and laid back. My thoughts immediately wandered over to Cayden.... that lady was really something. I had never seen the twins this happy. Ever in my life... I mean, their life. How could someone be so selfless? I had always been worried for Ben, just because he was too polite and helpful. It would always hurt in the end.
The sudden creak of the window interrupted my thoughts. I shot up to take a look but it was too dark on the other side of the room. All I could hear was my own breathing. Just then, a dark figure swung its leg on to the windowsill and I threw the nearest book towards it.
'''Has anyone ever taught you..'' An oddly familiar voice spoke, '' not to throw books around?'' And the devil stepped into the lights. I sighed in relief.
''What the hell, Cayden? You scared me shitless.'' I rubbed my chest. ''Did you just climb 3 floors?'' She just smirked.
''Told you, you don't know what I am capable of.'' I rolled my eyes and pulled her toward the bed, my eyes searching her body for injuries.
''What are you doing, still awake? Did you know it's like 2 in the morning'' She looked up at me.
''Yeah.. I was working.'' I gestured to the mess on the table. ''But why are you here?''
She shrugged, ''Couldn't sleep.''
I grinned at her, '' Knew you couldn't resist me.''
''Don't flatter yourself.'' She waved me and laid on the bed beside me.
''Can I ask you a question?''
''Hmm''
''Where did you seek refuge before we were together?''
''Refuge?'' She shook her head in disbelief. '' At Jason's''.
''Jason? That red head?''
''That's him.'' She took a good look at me and then said, ''He is just my friend.''
''I know'' I couldn't resist any longer. I lifted her chin up and smashed my lips on hers. She was surprised for a moment but kissed me back. My hands ran all over her body, savouring it. I turned over so that I was above her. She held my collar tightly and pulled me closer, her fingers sneaked under the hem of my t-shirt, running along my abs as I supressed a groan. Our bodies were so close that it was impossible to be any closer. She pulled away breathing hard while I trailed kisses along her jaw and neck. If it wasn't for the need to breathe, we would have stayed that way forever.
''Sleep, Cayden.'' I said finally playing with her curls.
''You're not?'' I shook my head.
''I, Carter Williams, very badly need a cold shower.'' She let out a laugh and nodded.
By the time I was out, she was already asleep. She breathed slowly, with both her hands on her stomach. I reached out to touch her cheeks and she shifted, opening her eyes, wide enough to see me.
''Go back to sleep.'' she turned and put her arms around my chest, closing her eyes again.
I kissed her head, ''What are you doing to me, Cayden?''
