Chapter 10- Sorry!!

CAYDEN POV

Carter and Bryan had the same kind of expression on their face. I mean, what's wrong with them? 

''I finally found out who you are'' Killian leaned back on his chair watching me.

''Oh. No. Don't say it out loud. Or I will have to kill all three of you.'' I said in mock horror.

''We played against each other in a basketball match.''  He said, ignoring me.

''More details please.''

''The group leader who tried to ask you on a date - but you slapped him - ice cream - ''

''yes yes , I get it. You were in the team?'' He nodded.

''Can we leave now? We have work.'' Carter interrupted both of us with a smug face.

''Cayden, how about I take you to my friends tomorrow?'' Killian suggested.

I smiled, ''That would be great, thankyou.''

(Next day)

I stared at my computer hard trying to concentrate.

''You know, you're pretty. He wouldn't refuse you.'' The red head has been annoying me for so long, I cant take it anymore. And... she was also my sister's f***ing classmate.

''Please be quiet for sometime, Miss Mariel.''

''Are you sure, you haven't done anything yet?'' 

I shouted finally,'' Will you shut your bloody mouth?!'' She glared at me. Look who's getting angry. 

I spoke into the intercom, ''Mr. Williams, are you screwing someone?''

''What? No.'' Carter's voice rang.

''Then, please, get your fucking ass here now, Mr. Williams.'' I heard Bryan's laughter.

Breathe in... Breathe out.... 

The door opened revealing both of them. 

''Do you know what the work of an assistant is?'' I asked looking into Carter's eyes. No response. I threw the papers on his face,'' I haven't touched them since morning. Why? Because I am busy dealing with your sluts.'' 

Mariel spoke,'' How dare you call me a slut?'' 

''Well, aren't you one?'' 

''Not like your f***ing sister. Good thing she ended her life.'' Those sharp words cut through my heart and it hurt like hell.

I clenched my teeth, '' Don't you dare speak a word.''  

''Sad. You could've done the same thing. One bitch less.'' Before I could Smack the hell off her face, Bryan punched Carter on his face. He cried out in pain and Mariel gasped.

Bryan said, referring to Mariel,'' You're lucky I don't hit women. That is why I gave him that. GET OUT!!'' She scurried out of the room as quick her short legs could take her.

I made my way out too. I can stand this any longer. Tears blurred my eyes. Why cant anything be better? I ignored both of them calling my name. And I drove. Away from any of these.

CARTER POV

''What the hell have you done, Car?'' He shouted. I clutched my bleeding nose.

''I don't know, Bryan.'' I whispered. Rick called. 

''Everything alright, Mr, Williams? Ms. Jones just drove at a very high speed.'' What can I say to that? It was all my fault. I hurt her. She left. All because of me.

''Track her, Bryan. I need to find her.'' 

''You are not going anywhere near her.'' He warned me. I have never seen him this angry. Every word he spoke was loud and hurtful.

''Don't stop me. I need to apologise.'' 

''We'll have to wait. Give her some time. Alone.'' He just walked off, leaving me all alone.

CAYDEN POV

3 days. 72 hours. 

146 missed calls. From my friends and the William family. The last time I came here, No one knew. No one cared apart from the guys.  

I sat across from his grave. ''Hey dad. Can you see what I am going through?'' Silence. 

''Of course you don't. I don't blame you, Lena. I know. But I still cant believe I lost someone I called family within a day.'' 

''I bet you don't know, Lena. How it feels. Because you were too scared to live anymore. Leaving me alone with the woman we called mother.''

''But do you know what she did? She left me. She f***ing left me.''  I couldn't cry. I was too tired. I got up brushing my pants. I drove back to the hotel in silence. I could hardly open my eyes.

I was scared like hell as I opened my door. There sat Carter on my bed. With his head in his hands. He quickly looked up as he sensed me. I stepped back.

''Leave Carter.'' 

''Cayden.. listen to me please.'' he begged.

''NO. LEAVE NOW!!''

NO! I WONT. HEAR ME OUT.''  I stayed quiet. He embraced me. I felt nothing else as I melted into it. We stayed that way for so long, with me clutching his T- shirt tightly as if he would disappear and him stroking my hair.

''Do you have any idea how worried I was. You f***ing drove for 12 hours. All alone. I gave you 3 days. All alone. But you still didn't return.'' I didn't reply. ''You didn't pick my calls. I would have never forgiven myself if anything happened to you.''

''I'm not very good at apologies, but I am sorry Cayden. For what I had done. I'm sorry for Mariel's words. She is stupid. I fired her. I am sorry. Please Cayden,''

I didn't know what to say. Should I forgive him? 

''I forgive you, Carter'' He pulled away from me and smile widely.

''Really?'' I nodded. ''So, come on. Let's go.'' 

''No. I... I'll come later. I don't want to leave now.'' His smile fell. Hurt crossed his eyes. ''I just need some more time alone. That's all. I need to heal.''

''I understand, Cay. Do you want to talk about it?'' I shook my head.

''At least can I stay with you? Untill you want to leave?''

'' No. Go home. I'll be back when I feel like it.''
