CARTER POV
Peace in life is always a blessing. When you have everything you need, you're happy. Of course, there might be small clashes with the ones you love, but that helps to improve your relationship. And, I guess, you might already know that.
I've got a lovely family, a hot wife and soon, a child too. Yeah, Cayden is 7 months pregnant. She's gotten bossier and increased mood swings than usual because of the damn hormones. But nothing I can't manage.
I entered the hall to find her asleep on the couch, her hands lightly on her huge belly. Her sprawled on the pillow made her look like a cute kid. I smiled to myself as I loosened my tie and carried her bridal style to our room.
She gained weight!!
Of course, you idiot. She's pregnant! Yeah, right.
Her eyes flew open as her head touched the pillow. They still managed to put me in a daze as I gazed into them. You never know what goes in that head of hers. But, I've got traitor eyes.
''Lay down with me for a while, will you?'' I smiled and did as she wished.
''How are you?'' She rolled her eyes.
''Pregnant.'' That has always been her answer for months.
''How's my little girl?'' I rubbed her belly softly.
''It's a boy, Carter.''
That made me frown, ''How are you so sure?''
''Mama's instinct.''
''It's still a girl. I want a pretty little angel just like you. Smart, strong and kind.''
''Thanks for the compliment but I want a son...'' I cut her off.
''Like me? All handsome and brainy?'' She let out a laugh.
''In your dream, chicken. I said, girl or boy, it has to be like me.'' This woman has not changed a pea size but I love her. ''Can I get a kiss?''
I grinned, '' Not until you admit it is a boy, just as hot as me.''
''It's a baby, Carter. Babies are cute, not hot. And you know I would never do that.'' She pouted and my eyes immediately travelled to her lips. She always has a way to get what she wants and I met my parted lips with hers.

I pushed the gym door open to reveal Cayden instructing Noah to punch. The baby turned out to be a boy, just like Cayden wanted. I had lost.
What to do? All she says is mama's instinct.
''Keep your knuckles straight, Like this and then punch hard.''
Noah was six, but that boy was strong as hell. I mean, for his age.
''Daddy!!!'' He screamed loudly as soon as he noticed me standing with my arms crossed on my chest. I struggled to manage that What-did-you-do-this-time look. But he knows better.
''I didn't do anything, daddy.'' He smiled at me, his eyes glinting with mischief.
''Then why did your teacher call to tell me that my boy punched someone?'' Cayden leaned onto the punching bag, amusement clear on her face. Actually, she should be punishing him.
''It was fair. You know I won't fight without a reason, right? Sam challenged that we do 15 push ups. He only completed 7, so I won. I hit him. It was our deal.'' I stared at this unusual boy. He speaks as if he was a teenager. Always has some reason for doing everything.
I cleared my throat, ''I don't care what the reason is. I want you to apologise, okay?''
''I will apologise,'' He ran towards the door, ''when pigs fly.''
Not again!!
Cayden erupted in fits of laughter while I watched her. She had an oversized t-shirt and a white shorts on, her hair tied back in ponytail. She still had me wrapped around her fingers. Beautiful as ever.
''Come on Carter, don't pretend like you were the perfect kid at school.'' She put her arms around me.
''Hey! I was, okay?''
''Yeah, Yeah. Tell that to your mother. You spent half your life in detention room.'' Whatever. ''Let the boy have some fun.''
I kissed her head,'' How about we bet the second time?'' She craned her head to look up at me pouting.
''But I already have two kids'' She said pinching my cheeks.
''Like it or not, we're having a another 'me'.'' I made our way to our room carrying her the bridal style.
