CAYDEN POV

Do you know how important sleep is?

And how rarely I fall into one?

And how irritating it is to get disturbed?

My phone vibrated and glowed in the dark room. I stumbled towards the table, cursing all the way. Well...........Carter f***ing Williams is dead.

''WHAT?'' I growled. He chuckled on the other side.

''Someone's in a bad mood.'' He sang.

Excuse me??? It's 3 in the morning. And he.... he's....

''Get ready. We're leaving. No need to pack your clothes.'' Is that even an information?

''To where?''

''Japan. I'll pick you in half an hour. Don't even try anything else.'' He hung up.

I groaned. Why did I join this company?

Because it was your dream

Pfft. Dream. Scheam.

I chose a simple white t- shirt and a black jeans and waited for the idiot.

''Good morning, Cayden'' I stayed quiet while he just snickered. The ride to the airport was quiet. Well, that means I was quiet.

''Hello mam. Good morning sir , I welcome you aboard.'' I gave her a polite smile and walked in. The plane was pretty cool.

''I know'' He smirked.

''Stop listening to my thoughts.''

''Stop voicing it then.'' I rolled my eyes. He was in a light blue shirt with rolled up sleeves. I couldn't help but stare at him. He walked towards the window as he spoke into his phone. His broad shoulders could make any lady swoon. He pulled at his tie thoughtfully. He never seems to lose his temper. I mean a CEO has lots of problems. They have mood swings as much as a pregnant woman. But Carter seemed to be one in million. He smiled at his colleagues. Greeted them. Always smirked at me. He never gets tired. My eyes quickly went to his mouth as he turned back to me.

Thank heavens, he didn't notice it. What on the Earth is wrong with me? Did I just check him out?

I couldn't fall back to sleep. I knew Carter was in some room nearby. I just didn't know which one. I crept slowly and peeped into every room.

After crashing into two doors, I finally stepped into his room. There he was, hugging a pillow as if it was a human. The scene brought a smile onto my face.

I pulled the blanket off him, praying he wasn't naked. He shot up in bed like he was given an electric shock and yelped as he noticed me. I doubled over laughing hard at his expression.

He groaned and scratched his neck. He watched me as I still laughed, hitting the floor. Soon, He gave up looking serious and joined me.

''What are you doing here?'' He clutched his stomach.

''Can't fall asleep.''

''Lets sleep together.'' I looked up to find him smirking. HaHa

''Not happening.''

''Come on, No funny business. No promises, though.''

I leapt over pushing him back onto the bed and hit him with the pillow. He laughed, trying to grab my hands. He held my waist and pulled me forward, so that I was lying beside him. Very close. He put his arms around me and whispered, '' Go to sleep, Jones.''

I closed my eyes and breathed in his scent. That was the last thing I knew.

The sun hit my face. I groaned and tried to get up to pull the blinds down. But was held back. By what? An arm rested on my stomach.

''Aaahhhh'' I pushed the person so away hard. There was a loud thump and a muffled cry.

''What the hell, woman. Can't you be normal for once?"

''Its normal for everyone to panic, if you woke up with an arm.'' I argued. He shook his head in disbelief and walked into the bathroom.

''Ladies and Gentlemen, we have reached our destination. Thank you for travelling with us.'' The pilot spoke into the speakers. I dressed in an office attire as Carter informed me that we would be directly attending a meeting.

The workers were quiet friendly and the building was eye-catchy. It was made of glass in certain places such that you could view the city while walking around.

''It was nice meeting you, mam'' An old man spoke in Japanese. I smiled and shook his hand.

''Nice meeting you, gorgeous.'' A voice said. I turned around to see a familiar face. He was as tall as me. Brown hair and green eyes, sharp jawline and broad shoulders. But not as handsome as Carter. I just couldn't point out why he was familiar.

''Do I know you?'' He shrugged. I stared at him thinking, as Carter walked over and pulled me closer by my waist. I looked up to find him glaring at the man. I guess they were rivals.

''Call me if you need company, beautiful.'' He handed me his card and kissed the back of my hand.

Carter snatched the card out of my hands and tore it off.

''Jeez, What crawled up your ass and died?'' He ignored me and pulled me with him.

It was already 7 in the evening when we reached the hotel.

CARTER POV

''Kon'nichiwa, sensei'' The receptionist greeted me. I smiled at her making her blush. I could already feel Cayden roll her eyes at me. The lady passed me a key.

''Is she your girlfriend, sir?'' She spoke in Japanese and I looked towards Cayden. She typed at her phone, oblivious to the conversation. ''She is very pretty.''

''I know.''

We walked through the corridor.

''Where is my key?'' She asked.

''What key?'' I played.

''There's no way I am staying with you in the same room.''

''You woke up with me today, Cayden.'' She looked at me with a straight face. Umm.. Isn't she supposed to blush?

''That was a plane. You woke me up and I couldn't sleep again. So, I came to disturb you. That's all.''

''Whatever you say, Cayden. We're staying in this room.'' She cursed under her breath.

''Konkai wa katta (I won this time)'' I spoke.

'' Shikashi, watashi wa tsuneni kachimasu. (But I always win.)'' She smirked evilly at me. What the hell??

''Why didn't you tell me you spoke Japanese.''

''You didn't ask, Mr williams.''

This lady is a devil and I'm announcing it officially today.
