The Universe

There's a distant void beyond us.
Burning specks
gliding across the sea of darkness,
lighting up a parallel world
not so far away.
Suns, matter and dust
drawing in planets
like a moth drawn to a flame.
Yet in the magnetic abyss
amidst a chilling silence,
creations of galaxies and worlds unending,
is a haunting fear of existing alone.
Bright stars
each with its vast mysteries still unknown,
linger a beautiful facade with a darker undertone.
One can easily feel the expanding loneliness up there.
The feeling is similar here.
Out of the crowds of people,
there is still an emerging feeling of loneliness.
In crowded rooms and busy streets,
there is still a cold and empty aura
circling you.
There are more than a million stars,
as well as people;
yet the universe is a world of solitude
