I landed in a roll in the middle of my father's throne room, and surprisingly so did Will. Well, not the roll part, he landed in a heap next to me groaning, but he had been shadow traveled too? I looked up and saw my father looking down at me from his throne and on his right my least favorite stepmother Persephone was looking at me with a disgusted face, both around 15 feet tall.

I knew I was probably going to get incinerated but I helped Will up quickly first, before forcing him onto his knee, me doing the same. I bowed looking at the ground, and nudged Will so he would copy.

"Lord Hades, Lady Persephone, to what do we owe this honor." I asked. Will let out a quiet groan next to me and I turned my head slightly to see he was green. I almost face palmed, forgot Will had never shadow traveled before, oops...

"Ugh, idiotic child. Hades I'm leaving, another second in the presence of your brat I may throw myself into Tartarus." Persephone gushed dramatically. My step-mother had always hated me, I guess it was only natural since I was the result of my father having an affair with my mother, but Persephone didn't even like Hades! He kidnapped her, for goodness sake! But she then again she might also hate me for killing all her plants in her garden, but hey, this is why she shouldn't give me chores, plus its not my fault my dad's the Lord of The Dead.

Will looked outraged but as he opened his mouth to get himself destroyed i used the shadows o go down into his throat and hold silence his vocal cords (No, I did not "hurt" him), he then turned to me, pretty angry, opening and closing his mouth trying to scream b the looks of it, but i just put my finger to my lips.

"It's fine, I'm used to it." I whispered. Then turned back to my father, who was now standing straight in front of me now in human form.

"What is that doing here?" Hades asked pointing to Will, I opened my mouth to reply but Hades cut me off. "Whatever, I don't care.... Get up child!" He commanded me, I winced my memories flashing to that cell, I was determined to keep my mouth shut this time. I slowly stood up still looking at the ground. There was a long silence in which I assumed I was supposed to look at my father but I didn't want him to see my face.

"Ugh, look at me you stupi-" He started but stopped when he saw my face. "Girl... have you been starving yourself?" He asked quietly. I didn't know how to respond, it wasn't purposeful but I guess i was, and if I wanted to live then I knew I couldn't lie to a god.

"Yes Lord Hades." I muttered quietly, refusing to look at his eyes. I expected him to get mad and tell me I couldn't run errands for him dead but he just sighed.

"Nicole, you do need to eat, you know." My father told me, I was surprised by his tone of voice. I had never heard him say something like that before. I looked at him wondering if he was being sarcastic, but as I looked into his eyes I saw something weird... he was concerned. What?!

My father cleared his throat and I realized I had been staring.

"Yes, Lord Hades. Sorry, Lord Hades." I rambled looking at my shoes again, I heard my father sigh then he lifted both of his hands and I felt a warm breeze come from behind me. I was about to turn but then remembered Hades and silently asked for permission to turn around, he nodded. I looked behind me and there I saw the god Apollo looking astonished.

"Lord Apollo." I greeted bowing, and wondering why he was here.

"Are they about to make me and Will break up?" I thought in horror. "Or worse... give us The Talk?"

"Hades! Uncle! You broke me out! Thank you! Thank you! Than-" Apollo exclaimed racing over to my father.

"Ah! I did not break you out, and you will not tell Zeus this ever happened, do you understand?" Hades asked menacingly.
