Hello, my dear readers!!! I'm sorry I haven't updated for a long time, COVID ain't stopping the schools to get suspended so I got busy with getting enrolled in college. Enjoy!
Well, this is awkward.
We didn't talk.
After waking up I found myself alone and cold on the fur mattress. Moments later two she-wolves from before arrived and entered without knocking. I was startled, but I could not push myself to complain. I felt like I wasn't in any position to do so. I stayed quiet and observe them. As the older woman prepared my bath the other one told me that the alpha, my mate, would later take on a tour. Meanwhile, I was supposed to get ready.
"I have not properly introduced myself, my name is Vivia. That woman over there is Dasha. We will be your personal servant starting from today." Although her form came out friendly, the tone of her voice held a different meaning. I just shrug it off and pretended that I did not hear what she just said. I'm a prisoner here, and I'm afraid they might try to attack me. Werewolves are scary.
I don't really know much about werewolves. I do know they morph into humans whenever they bid. They eat meat and they have a mate, but apart from that, that's where my knowledge ends. Just when I was lost in my thought I was suddenly grabbed by the arm by a woman named Dasha. She was so strong that I winced in pain. Vivia scolded her and for treating me as such but her respond had Vivia still;
"He does not bear the mating mark of our Alpha. This means that he has been rejected. We don't actually have to treat this weakling in such status!" Dasha cried as if what she said is something worth of expedition.
Vivian looked at me in curiosity doubting her words, so she checked my nape to see it herself. When she actually confirmed that Vivian was telling the truth, she did not look at me with remorse like what Dasha is expressing. Instead, she kept her poise and guided me to the bathtub. Vivia with obvious disgust written on her face refuted at her actions;
"Why treat him so lavishly? He is a rejected mate. He has no value anymore." Vivia shakes her head disputing Dasha's early remarks. I was already shaken by fear of her sudden tantrum. My arm hurts as I rubbed the pain away.
"Dasha, fetch me his breakfast."
My oh goodness. It's okay. You don't have to ask her that. She's already fuming, to begin with. Do not fuel her anger by adding oil to a burning fire. Her face changes into a red color like a chameleon. By instinct, I grab at Vivia's arm for protection. Thankfully, she did not shrug my arms. They had an intense glaring for a moment until I started hearing growls. I thought I was just imagining things, but the sound intensifies signifying that was indeed coming from them. From what the situation looks like, Vivia was wining in terms of domination. However, Dasha was persistent and tried to gain the upper hand by coming too strong on her growling. Vivia tore a shrieking bellow that had Dasha stepped back and me covering my ears, it strikes my eardrum like a sharp knife.
"Now!" Vivia ordered once again. This time Dasha did as she was instructed and went to grab my breakfast with a loud gruff.
I couldn't really believe what just happened. Dasha was definitely scary, but Vivia was another level. I'm thankful that she asked for my breakfast since I haven't eaten anything for two days.
'Is this what you call domination?' I thought to myself'
Soaking my body with a scented bath I couldn't help moan in pleasure as the warm bath soaked on my skin. After settling myself I could not help but thought what they argued about.
"He does not bear the mating mark of our Alpha. This means that he has been rejected. We don't actually have to treat this weakling in such status!"
Soaking at the warm bath my mind were somewhere else- it felt like it was just yesterday when me and Stephen were just laughing under the old tree. We were just finishing a book that foretold the fate of a young man with seven wonders. It felt like yesterday when mother was cooking my favourite pumpkin soup, and father was giving me another book to add in my collection. I was happy considering that books were rare to possess when your just a peasant.
The joy was short-lived...
Vivia snapped me from my thought and told me it was time to get out of the tub. I didn't notice that the water was already cold, I was deep in memory lane that I could not feel my skin getting cold from the autumn wind. She handed me a robe and turn her back, giving me privacy. I slip from the given robe and was dressed by a blue long garment that has a black wolf crest circling my waste. It looked like it was protecting something.
"That is the traditional royal robe worn by the luna. The wolf around your waste is the alpha's wolf. A symbol that he belongs to you and no one is touch or harm you in anyway." Vivia suddenly said after noticing my confused expression. Probably the creasing eyebrow give it away. I blush from the enlightenment. However, it was immediately replace by anxiety when I realize that such title is not applicable to me. I can not be a luna. I am not a werewolf.
Dasha arrived with my breakfast with a loud thump after setting the tray on the wooded table. I flinch from her aggressive behaviour but Vivia snarled at her and she stopped behaving such. After settling my breakfast I could not help but notice that she was glaring at me as she scans my whole being with her flaring eyes. I felt insecure and shielded myself with my arms. Dasha left the room slamming the door on her way out after finishing her task, while Dasha decided to stay to accompany me.
I was famish. I was more hungry when I saw what was being served. Roasted chicken and steamed potatoes. Wine was also being served. I only see this dish when my mother served some nobles in the past. She was a kitchen maid and she would always bring me to work. Whenever she cooked foods for the nobles she would secretly feed me small bites after seeing how I looked at the food. But when the mistress found out we were kicked out and mother had to find another job.
Instead of being angry at me, my beautiful mother only smiled at me in the sweetest expression and said;
'We got found out.'
I was utterly shocked. How could she be laughing when I was the reason for her to loose her job. I couldn't help but cry that day, and we went home as she carried me into her arms. When father saw us he was distraught seeing me crying with puffy eyes. After that I could vividly remember that mother cooked me my pumpkin soup and sang me a lullaby to sleep.
My tears that I could not contain, flow freely down my cheeks. Vivia noticed my distress and asked me if the food wasn't to my liking. I didn't answer her. I lowered my head, hiding myself from further embarrassment. Before Vivia could further question me the door was suddenly slammed open causing the wooded door to shattered into pieces.
We snap our heads to the perpetrator and saw Erik who was drench on his own sweat, muscles being tensed. His chest was bare and he was huffing as he took his steps closer. When his eyes landed on my frame his body slightly relaxed and he was no longer in conflict with his emotions.
"Leave us."
And Vivia left the room in haste leaving me with him. Alone... With this man.
