a few months has passed.

giyuu and shinobu were working together quite smoothly at the hospital. sometimes she still goes over to his home along with kanao to chill. they've gotten pretty close as friends.

shinobu was confident that she knew almost everything about him.

but she was wrong. and that thursday afternoon proved it to her.

shinobu rests her head on her palm as she stares at giyuu who was typing on the computer.

" tomioka-san." she pokes him, though it didnt receive much of a reaction.

"ne ne, did you see the new antibiotic i made? ne tomioka-san ne ne." she continues to poke him, smiling wider.

he finally stops typing and looks back at her.

"kochou-"

"DOCTOR TOMIOKA! A VIP PATIENT BLOOD PRESSURE IS RAPIDLY GOING DOWN!" the door suddenly flung open by a nurse with a worried face.

giyuu and shinobu stood up immediately. shinobu was already leaving, but instead of leaving immediately, giyuu asked with a trembling breath.

"...p-patient number?"

"075."

giyuu's eyes widen.

instantly, he dashes out of his desk, dropping a few stationaries on the floor.

shinobu yelps as he pushes her to the side and runs out the door. she winches in pain as her arm hits the door frame.

she follows after him angrily.

"TOMIOKA! WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA HERE?" shinobu shouts, a vein popping on her forehead.

"PREPARE SOME BLOOD BAGS AND DOUBLE CHECK THE VENTRICULAR ASSIST DEVICE!" ignoring shinobu's shout , he wears his gloves while running , at the same time ordering the nurse beside him.

shinobu flings open the VIP patient door and sees the sight in front of her. 3 nurses were helping around the heartbeat monitor, one was checking the pulse and one was preparing anesthetic. giyuu was using a stethoscope to check around the patient's chest.

this isn't the time to be mad, get yourself together!

"what should i do?" shinobu ask quickly in a serious tone.

"check the temperature of her body, if it goes below 35 celsius, you know what to do."

shinobu quickly does her job. she took a glance at the patient. her face was pale, and she was bald.

"she has gone out of the danger zone. blood pressure is normal, body temperature 36 celsius." the nurse pants as she reads the information in the heart monitor.

everyone spent 20 minutes re-stabilizing the patient. the nurses left the room quietly, leaving shinobu and giyuu in the room.

"ah! that was so scary!" shinobu pants, breathless. if they didn't focus enough just now, the patient would have gone somewhere above.

"tomioka-san?" receiving no reply, shinobu looks at the male who was burying his face into his hands.

he then suddenly knelt on the floor. he was crying.
