"i don't know, but i always get this feeling we met somewhere before."

a silence fell as giyuu's eyes did too. 

for a second there, he thought that was her.

"tomioka-san, maybe we were in the same kindergarten or something...haha" shinobu continued to break the silence.

"do you...believe in fairytales?" giyuu said quietly, while looking at shinobu desperately.

"because what i'm about to tell you might make you think that i escaped a mental asylum." giyuu said sternly, though his tone was mocking.

"so...you're saying that this, THIS physical body i have now used to belong to another person 100 years ago, and YOU have the memories DESPITE going  through reincarnation and everything ?" shinobu scrunches her face in confusion while swinging her hands around as she points to herself.

this was all too crazy for her to consume on a wednesday afternoon.

"yes...? i don't really know how to explain..but-" giyuu tries to explain as he tries to find the right words as he holds on his handkerchief.

"tomioka-san, i think i should go, this is all to crazy for me." shinobu took a knowing glance at the butterfly pin and her eyebrows knitted together tighter.

"wait-!" he stood up from his chair as he reached out to stop her in her tracks.

"perhaps you should visit a mental asylum soon." and after that, she left, leaving a giyuu who was ruffling his hair violently in frustration.

despite saying those words, shinobu believed him. word for word. because his insane story matched those of her sister's that she has never believed until this moment. shinobu just didn't want to believe it. she didn't want to believe that her sister's insane bed-side story was actually true , and that man in her story was in the coffee shop, treating her to a date.

"nee-san! nee-san!" shinobu frantically shouts as she enters the house, in search of a familiar figure.

"yes?" kanae pokes her head out the kitchen, eyes not leaving what she was doing.

"i...i found that blood stained butterfly pin."

kanae's smile widened.

"the other half, it was with a man with long black hair."

"come come, sit down." a sound of turning off the gas, and kanae quickly took off her apron and pulled shinobu to sit down by the sofa.

"do you still remember what i said? about 100 years ago, demons were all over the place?" kanae asks the lost shinobu.

"and that man?" kanae continued, and shinobu nodded.

"there's this oneeee little thing i forgot to tell you. well, not exactly, little, it's a really big point that i chose not to tell you." kanae continues as her held shinobu's small hands.

"that man, loved a woman after her death to a demon." 

"her name was shinobu kochou." kanae softly continued.

shinobu halted in her breath as she tries to put the pieces together. 

how does nee-san know? about all this?

"nee-san, how do you...know all this?" shinobu asks carefully.

"our great-great grandma passed this story down to us. and she even said that after exactly 100 years, give the butterfly pin to you, the baby who was borned exactly after a 100 years. it was so...crazy, the words she spoke was like a prophecy. the other half of the butterfly pin, belongs to the man who loved our great-great grandma's SISTER, who you were named after." kanae explained, going slowly each time for shinobu to digest the madness.

"so...how do i know it's completely true?"

"i believe you have enough evidence to know that what i'm saying now is the truth, despite it makes me sound like a mad woman." kanae laughs softly.

shinobu stares blankly at kanae as she goes through her head. after much thought, she spoke.

"even if what you said is completely true, what does this have anything to do with me? i mean what does that man want with me? sure, i may look exactly the same and have the same name as our ancestor, but i'm me, not her, isn't it?" shinobu said sternly as she looks to her sister for approval.

"i know, i know. and that's the thing you have to settle with tomioka-san." kanae leaves after her sentence, not realising she let her tongue slip as she says his name.

giyuu rests his head on the table.

he was tired from all the work and website surfing.

it doesn't take a smart man to know that these titles are way too stupid for anyone to click on. giyuu sighs. until now he still don't know the reason shinobu doesn't remember, yet she says that he felt familiar to her.

he scratched his head in frustration.

...i get frustrated so fast recently.

"nii-san. nii-san!" 

"yes, makomo?" giyuu's mood instantly brightened as he turns to his little sister with a warm smile, he pats her head as she speaks.

"tomorwow, teacher say we can go home early, can you brwing me home?" makomo looks at giyuu with puppy eyes as her grip on her stuff toy gets tighter.

"okay. but you have to sleep now, it's late, i'll make you pancakes tomorrow morning, okay?" giyuu turns his chair to face makomo fully as he speaks softly.

"pancwake!!" makomo jumps and giggles excitedly as her eyes sparkle with excitement, and ran to her room.

giggle smiles at the girl's retreating figure.

at least sabito gets a break.

he chuckles at the thought of sabito complaining that makomo is overly hyper and cheeky.
