This is just a rant post after kong makapansin ng mga announcement na hindi raw nila ipo-post ang next chapter hangga't hindi nakaka-reach ng ganitong count ang votes nila.
It was such a turn off.
Ang ganitong attitude ay nagpapakita lang na mas importante ang numbers sa iyo kaysa sa pagsusulat. Paano na lang kung hindi ma-achieve ang dini-demand mong numbers? What would you do? Hindi ka na magsusulat? Hindi ka na mag-a-update?
Egh.
I admit reads, votes, and comments bring joy to us. Sino namang hindi? But requiring your readers to do something to satisfy your cravings is a big no-no. Hindi sila required na pasayahin ka.
You should write for the joy of writing, not solely for the joy of receiving votes.
Kung votes lang ang source of inspiration mo sa pagsusulat, time will come na mawawalan ka ng gana, because trust me, there will always be times na matumal ang reads and votes ng mga gawa natin, at kung iyon lang ang binabantayan mo lagi, hindi ka niyan makakakilos.
If you're truly passionate about writing, no matter how low the reads and votes you receive, you'll be able to survive.
