-Kaisa-

The next day, Erwin gave most of the soldiers involved with the female titan attack a day off to recuperate and recover from the events. Consequently, I took advantage of this and slept in as much as I could to avoid being awake to feel the soreness from the two days before.

The birds wake me up in the morning which hasn't happened in a while. Initially, I thought this would annoy me, but because today was a cloudy day, the sun wasn't in the way to shine through my window. I made sure that today would be a slow day even though I know I'd somehow end up finishing the paperwork I was behind on.

Paperwork spared no one, not even me.

I slowly sit up, surprised that my body isn't as exhausted as it was yesterday. In fact, most of my injuries felt like they were basically gone. I head over to the washroom while touching the different parts of my body which were bruised from yesterday only to find they were only slightly irritated. I brush my teeth while walking towards my desk to look at the different remedies that I hadn't even bothered to use before I passed out last night.

Did someone treat my wounds while I was sleeping?

No. That couldn't be possible since the packages are untouched and there aren't any changes in my bandages. Perhaps I just managed to heal quickly? Even so, I've never been able to heal so quickly from injuries this intense...but then again I've never been so injured in my entire career as a Survey Corps soldier.

Ah shit!

The toothpaste drips from my lips and lands on my night shirt. I sigh in frustration while awkwardly walking back to the sink to clean myself up. I look back into the mirror and see that all of the scuffs and light cuts from the day before are completely gone. My mouth drops a little, and I hold my fingers up to my lips in surprise.

The moment my fingers brush against my lips, reminders from yesterday flood my thoughts and my cheeks tint red. I have no idea what yesterday means for Levi and I, but I kinda want to see how it plays out. Just as I finish looking at myself in the mirror, a familiar knock echoes throughout my room. My eyes widen and I fix my hair quickly and adjust my shirt which now has a little stain from the toothpaste and groan in frustration.

Why did Levi have to knock on my door now of all times?

I rush over to the door and open it slightly, only peeking my eyes over the small opening.

"Good morning, Levi." I blink.

He's dressed in casual attire—or at least what Levi would qualify as leisurely attire. He's wearing a white dress shirt which isn't buttoned up all the way with a forest green cardigan on top. I look down at shoes and find he's wearing some sort of masculine Chelsea style boot with dark pants which lightly hang overtop. He's holding a tray with two plates of food, two cups, and a teapot along with the meal. I notice the watch sitting on his wrist which I've never seen before, but I decide to leave it alone. I bring my eyes back up to his face and see that he's not exactly pleased with me.

"It's almost one, Kaisa. Are you going to let me in now or are you going to keep standing there?" He asks. I move to the side and open the door completely so he can enter. He steps in and places the tray on my desk before opening my blinds so that the natural light can fill my room completely.

"What the hell are you wearing?" He asks once he gets a good look at me. I look down and see the oversized t-shirt which barely reaches my mid-thigh that I put on last night before I fell asleep.

"It's comfortable." I shrug. Levi clicks his tongue before pouring the tea he brought up into the cups.

"Is this breakfast?" I ask, walking towards him.
