Chapter 3

I had really started to worry now. Jess had been my friend since i had moved to Melbourne, the boys had introduced me to her because she was in my classes in primary school & she didn't have many friends either. She sometimes acted older & more thick skinned but really Jess was sweet & sensitive, I remember at the beginning of year 6 she ran off crying because the boy she liked called her ugly which is totally stupid because Jess is the prettiest person I know.

Once I had told the boys there mouths dropped and sat there looking horrified. None of us knew what to do we just sat there when I said "We need to help find her. We carnt just do nothing!" They all agreed with me. After we all got dressed we drove round to Jess'a house. There was a police car parked outside and I literally ran through the front door her mum and dad were sitting on the sofa, her dad had his arms around her as she handed over a picture of Jess to the police officer. I stood in their living room "Have you found her!?" I exclaimed "Erm no, may I ask who you are?" The police officer asked "This is Jess's best friends Amber she was with her last night" Her Karen said while pointing at me, the officer nodded "Right, could I ask you some question?" I nodded and sat down on one of the cream sofas. A couple of minutes later Beau, Luke&Jai stumbled in. The 3 adults all looked at them in confusion, "Err, these are my 3 cousins they came round here with me to help look for Jess" They stood there impatiently for at lest half an hour as I told the officer about last night.

"Right im going to call some other officers to come help search" The officer said as Me, Beau, Luke & Jai got into Beau's car to search for Jess.

We had searched the neighbour hood for about 2 hours and we kept on going round in circles and everyone was getting tired "How about we go home now ey, its getting late" Beau asked, I didnt want to give up searching but i knew Beau was right so we drove home. When we got in Gina was in bed so we all decided to watch a film to take our minds off it, we obviously watched Titanic it was Beau's favourite film and it became mine when i moved in with them and it has been ever since.

Jess's POV:

I woke up from a deep sleep the last thing i remember was that i was at the train station and next thing i know someone had grabbed me from behind and had put there hand over my mouth i was now lying on a cold hard floor. I hauled my self up and looked around there was a blanket covering me and i was surrounded my darkness apart from a slit of light coming from around a door frame. I knelt down and tryed to look throught the slit when someone stood infront of it and then the next thing i know they have opened the door and im lying on the floor. Their shadow is standing over me and i suddenly feel a pain in my head and then im dreaming...
