Sometimes I hear them
Sometimes I see them
They hurt me, I cry in fear
Never-ending manifests
Kill, cry, run, fear, hide
Does it rhyme?
Limitless, powerless
Yet, somehow, they stay with me
False friends, ever so true to lie
I approach them
They hurt me
And I hurt them
False memories, false love
Forced smiles everywhere
Black pictures over them
Depicting shadows in white
They are alive
I want them dead
Alone in a bright room
Where white shadows dwell
Blinding light, yet brighter shadows
They blind me more than darkness
Schemes of them that I fall for
Leading me to a false heaven
Masks of light they wear
Under them a true shadow
True selves bathed in light
Making black and white the same
Happiness, sadness, sorrow, joy, trust, love, aches, confusion
Slices of the seven far deathlier all manifested as masks of false light
My friends, true vessels
Their faces change
They call to me
To shine
Embrace the darkness that hides the light
Or, is it otherwise?
No more true enemies or false friends
Just shadows of light and dark
They call to me
To be a black spot in a white sheet or a white dot in a black void
White shadows
Dark shadows
All are the same
Just different backgrounds
Who do I trust?
