I just got a call from Archie asking to be bailed out. When he tells me why I tell him there's no way our firm can represent him on this case. Omg I am so stupid. Ana can sue us for this. I have to get involved, but only to get Anas money back. The bank has to be contacted and we have to audit all Archies accounts. I just got back from vacation. The cops have warrants for his office, home, cars, and all accounts and safe deposit accounts. He had a bus locker key as well. They have cops all over the place here. I have to remind them of the client attorney privilege. Ana is allowing them to view all her files and accounts.

When I found out about everything it took two weeks and we found out that Archie collected on life insurance policies on all four of my family members. All over a million each and doubled due to being killed in a wreck. He had very little left of that money. His assets are all frozen now. Carrick made it happen. He can't be represented by Grey or anyone there. He can't pay for an attorney so Public Defender it is. Man I need to relax so I go buy daisies for my family. I have Reynolds drive me there and I cry and talk to them and pray for guidance. Suddenly I know what to do I decide to look into just how he was able to insure my family and then collect the money. Oddly enough they said the wreck was intentional and the driver was no where to be found. I want the police reports on those. I call Sawyer and ask if we can get those. The burglar was never found and Hyde was on duty and didn't see a thing because he was walking the perimeter.

Are you sure you want to see those reports?  She insisted, she tells me along with her insurance Archie got paid as well. I will get them and I will check on the payouts and how and why they covered them for Archie. We go over everything and we find a lot of things on the accident doesn't add up. Plus the burglary was strange because Hyde didn't see a thing because he was walking the perimeter when he heard the shots.

My first day I am snooping on staff that attempted to kill my employer. He died after trying to kill her again. Another new female CPO was shot trying to stop him from killing her, but her backup shot him and due to his rare blood type he bled out in surgery. All this was kept from the news. The Steele family was known to be wealthy just not photographed or hounded for stories. Guess shopping at thrift stores draws less attention. Lol. I put gloves and paper shoes and gown on and we walk in and find a psychos den.

Let's just check out files and his computer and other devices. I find the box and receipts for the insulin and the emitters. I then see a receipt for rental of the kind of vehicle that crashed into her parents and shot her grandparents during a failed robbery, both paid for by the companies on the billing receipts. I get copies of all the documents. I am about to drive off, the police arrive and head up to Hyde's as well. They dress like us, moments later they are bringing things out we gets the hell out of dodge. Okay I call Ana and she calls Grey, but alas he is busy again. She tells us to come back because checks are missing. Archie was in her office when she was in the hospital. I caught him, but thought nothing of it. A guy watches from the parking lot. I take photos of him to be sure who it might be. I tell Sarah to get the plate number as we drive off.

It turns out this guy is FBI by his plates we couldn't get a good ID on him. Sawyer calls his friend and an hour later they have given him the 411 on it. Apparently Hyde and Rogers were about to be arrested for the accident and burglary of  the Steele family, but even worse things. Money laundering, human trafficking and fraud. Turns out they both have shell companies in various names. Murder was just a past time. The insurance policies were just the tip of the iceberg. Carrick Greys firm ran a tight ship, but Archie sailed his own ship off duty. He held meetings away from Grey and no one ever questioned him, since he is their attorney and they need to trust him.

I have to send emails out to all clients regarding Rogers deceit regarding their actual attorney. We get angry calls and letters. Archie stole from clients in small amounts at first. Ana caught him when he wrote million dollar checks while she was in the hospital. I call and talk to her about everything we know so far and I have her bring everything document wise to me. The FBI was pressing charges against Archie in the morning, but he is now in jail after trying cash Anas checks. Man what a mess this is. I hired an independent company to come in and review every aspect of our accounts, Hyde's and Archies. I found out they have numerous shell companies. They were good at covering their their tracks.

I am looking over things with Ana and suggest she hire a forensic accountant who just retired from the police do exactly that for them. She tells me to go ahead. I get them on the line and they can come over in an hour. She turns out to be his mother Janice Sterling.

Luke never asks me to do this, so his client must be special. I am introduced to Ana Steele she's young and beautiful and wealthy. Aren't they all? Luke has an eye, but he also has a broken heart. His wife was killed by a sniper while driving home from finding out she was pregnant with their first child. The boy I know died that night along with his wife and baby. So now he protects people from this anguish he felt.
