Doughnut Debate: Katakuri X Reader

Katakuri and you have always been very close so you knew about his situation, you would even occasionally go and have his snack time with him. And today is one of those days. You walked into his small house just for this time of the day while talking to him and after closing the door you both sat down and Katakuri took off his scarf revealing his large and scarred mouth as he instantly dug into the doughnuts while you picked one up yourself and started eating it. You watched as Katakuri scarfed a bunch of doughnuts down, you had always had a crush on Katakuri, but he never seemed interested in you or anything related to the topic so you never brought it up. As you were spacing out, Katakuri caught onto your staring and spoke up.

"Favorite doughnut." He simply said snapping you out of your daze as you looked at him slightly wide eyed and confused.

"What?" You asked, taking another bite of your doughnut.

"What's your favorite doughnut?" He asked once again and your eyes widened as you realized that even though you both have spent a bunch of time together, especially eating doughnuts, neither of you knew each other's favorite doughnuts. You thought and looked down at the jelly filled doughnut in your hand and shrugged.

"I guess the jelly filled ones." You said and looked up at the frowning Katakuri.

"The ringed ones." He said and you raised an eyebrow at where he was going with this, a debate.

"Well the ringed ones are plain, whereas the jelly filled ones have a little extra inside and a surprise in it." You said with a smirk which in turn made Katakuri smirk as well.

"Well the ringed ones might be plain, but they're still delicious with frosting on them and many different types of flavored ringed donuts, different types of ringed donuts and along with different frostings." Katakuri argued, making your smirk grow.

"Well the jelly filled ones also have different flavors to them as well." You said.

"Of jelly!" He exclaimed.

"So?" You said and you both stayed quiet and just stared at each other for a second before quickly both shoving doughnuts into each other's mouths. Katakuri shoved a ringed doughnut in your mouth and you shoved a jelly filled doughnut in his mouth. You both froze for a few seconds before laughing and releasing each other's doughnuts to take your own ones out. You both laughed for a good few seconds of the events that just occurred when suddenly you stopped in mid laugh as a realization just hit you. You both had taken a bite out of the doughnuts which in turn meant that you both just gave and shared an indirect kiss with each other. With that thought your face quickly began heating up as it went bright red. Katakuri noticed your abrupt stop and looked at you confused to see your face with a bright red blush which made him worried.

"(Y/N), are you ok? What's wrong? Do you feel sick?" He asked worriedly and was about to feel your forehead when you suddenly turned towards him quickly, surprising him as you smiled.

"What? No, everythings fine. I'm ok. Nothing's wrong." You said with a forced laugh but Katakuri wasn't buying it as he grabbed your shoulders and made you face him.

"Tell me what's wrong." He said and you looked into his eyes before sighing and giving up as you looked off to the side.

"I was just thinking... we both took a bite out of those doughnuts each... so we technically shared an indirect kiss..." You explained and Katakuri went quiet. After a few seconds you turned to look at him to see his face also red which surprised you as your eyes widened. But before you could say anything, you felt his lips land on yours for a quick real kiss as he pulled away and looked into your eyes.

"Well, how was that for a real kiss?" He asked and you took a few seconds to process everything and recover before smirking.

"That was great." You said as you leaned in with closed eyes and kissed him once again.

You and Katakuri were still sitting in the little house occasionally eating a few doughnuts or two while you cuddled.

"We never settled the debate." Katakuri brought up and without even looking at him you snuggled up more against him with a smile.

"Lets just call it a tie." You said and you felt Katakuri kiss the top of your head.

"Ok, it's a draw then."

"How about if we made a doughnut that was ringed with jelly in the middle of it, but just instead it's in the ringed shape." Katakuri suggested and you laughed and shook your head against his torso.

"No, that would defeat the purpose of the plain ringed doughnuts." You laughed.

"And besides, some people don't like the jelly filled doughnuts." You said.

"Well there could still be normal plain ringed doughnuts as well, just along with the jelly filled ringed doughnuts for the people who want those." He said,

"No." You laughed out and he sighed.

"You're no fun." He said and you playfully punched his side which seemed to give him another idea.

"Ok fine, you drive a hard bargain, how about half and half." He said and you raised an eyebrow and looked up at him confused.

"What?" You asked.

"It means, in a ringed doughnut shape, half of it would be jelly filled and then the other half would be just the normal plain doughnut." He said and you sighed and shook your head with another laugh.

"No, none of those would work, but I will give it to you, you do have good ideas, you can come up with good ideas. But, no, to all of them, now just stop and eat your doughnuts for now." You laughed and Katakuri gave a fake sigh as he took a bite out of a doughnut with a smile.

"Ok, ok, fine."
