Everything will be Ok: Zoro X Depressed Reader

Ever since you were a child, you had a dream of becoming a pirate. Although you've never left your home, island, or family before, but you still always dreamed of setting sail on the seas. When one day, a very famous pirate crew stopped on your island, you were instantly captivated by them and just knew you had to join their crew. They were called the Strawhat Pirates. You befriended them while they were stopped on your island and before they left, their captain, Monkey D. Luffy, asked you to join the crew, which you immediately accepted. You ran home and started packing as you told your family of the great news and they were all happy for you. They knew how much you had grown to enjoy the Strawhats and how much you wanted to join them, so they knew it was only a matter of time since you were a determined person. Her family walked with her to the docks where the Strawhats were waiting for her on their ship. She turned around to face her family with a smile, them all smiling as well.

"Go (Y/N). Fulfill your dreams, become a great pirate, become a strong pirate, but be careful and take care of yourself, be safe, we will miss you." Your mother said to you with tears in her eyes as you ran over and hugged her. After saying your farewells to your family, you ran onto the ship and went to the back of it as they began to sail away as you watched as you drifted farther away from your waving family, but before it was to late and you were too far, you jumped and perked up as you began to wave back at them.

"I promise I will return one day! Wait for me! I'll be back! I will miss you all." You yelled with a bright smile as you all continued to wave, until the island was too far away and you slowly lowered your arm with a smile, a smile of a promise to return one day. You turned around and quickly ran to the deck where the crew all were.

"Do you guys have an area for training?" You asked excitedly and Nami looked at you with a raised eyebrow.

"You sound like Zoro." She said and you glanced over at the sleeping green haired swordsman.

"Does he train a lot?" You asked and she sighed and nodded.

"Yes, he trains pretty much every single day when he's not sleeping." She said, shaking her head.

"He has the crows nest set up and filled with training supplies." Robin spoke up and your face brightened.

"Thanks Robin!" You said happily and ran up into the crows nest where you looked around before quickly getting to training. This repeated everyday after that. You would always go up into the crows nest to train everyday to get stronger, sometimes you would meet Zoro up there and you both would train together. And over time, you began to bother Zoro about helping you train even more, which over time he finally reluctantly agreed. You both talked and got a lot closer as you trained together, and everyone on the crew noticed this. Everyone also has got used to your personality, well at least the two main ones. You were a cheerful and determined person, which is what finally convinced Zoro to train you in the end. You never missed any training sessions and always loved to train even if Zoro didn't want to train with you. But then one day, everything changed, and the whole crew immediately noticed it. You weren't as energetic as you were before, you were always down, and you even began to skip training, which is when everyone really began to worry. You were sitting in your room, looking at the newspaper, not noticing the ear and eye that appeared on the wall beside you. Tears began to form in your eyes as you looked at the newspaper in your hands as you cried. The newspaper talked about how your island was being attacked by pirates.

"It's all my fault! I should never have left! If only I stayed and got stronger there, I could have protected everyone! Pirates are attacking my island, where I had left my family and friends behind at. How could I do that! Just to become a pirate, which is what's attacking them! They probably hate me now! It's all my fault! They're probably even attacking them just because of me anyway!" You cried out, glancing at the wanted posting sitting next to you. It was your wanted poster, you had got a bounty a while back. Not too long after joining the Strawhats. You stood up and wiped your tears before walking out of your room, where you heard whispering and stopped to listen.
