Valentines's day special: The valentine's day trouble: Smoker X Reader

Happy Valentines Day Everyone! I'm sorry that I haven't posted in so long, but my life, as of lately, has been hectic, crazy, and confusing, so I'm sorry but I'm still trying! I have no life and especially no love life, so I'm going to go read some romance stories today to make myself feel better (not like its possible) or maybe go and watch some new anime's I found because ANIME IS LIFE! Lol..... I'm sorry..... well I hope you all have better days then mine, or that this story will help you all on this sad lonely day, or happy day for those of you in relationships..... I'm not one of those people...... I'm single..... ANYWAY I'm sorry about that and all my rambling and everything, but I hope you all have a good day/night and I hope you all enjoy this little valentine special! And,...... Happy Valentine's Day!

It was valentines day. Everyone was busy working. But not you. You were chasing around Smoker, your crush. You wanted to give him some homemade chocolates that you made yourself for him for valentines day. And finally, you caught him.

"Smoker!" You called out to him and he instantly turned around and looked at you. 

"What?" He asked with his gruff voice as he light two cigars. You bent down and put your hands on your knees as you caught your breath from running for so long. Once you had caught your breath and straightened up, you saw Smoker already looking at you.

"I'm sorry to disturb you and interrupt your work, but I wanted to talk to you about something." You said as you reached your hand into your pocket. Smoker watched and eyed you closely and carefully before sighing and nodded his head.

"Alright, lets talk in my office." He said before turning around and walking towards his office. You smiled and nodded as you caught up with him. But once you walked into his office, his transponder snail started to ring. Smoker huffed and sighed before walking over and answering it.

'Smoker we need you to take this job, come to my office now to discuss it more.' Sengoku said into the snail before hanging up. Smoker sighed once again, and it broke your heart to see how tired he was. He turned towards you and started to head your way.

"Sorry (Y/N), but we'll have to talk later." Smoker said as he pat your head, before walking past you and out of the office. You sighed as you pulled the box of chocolates out of your pocket and looked at them sadly.

"That's the fifth time today that's happened. I'll try one more time, and if it doesn't work then I guess I will just have to try again next year. Why are there so many jobs on valentines day than normal anyway?"

-Timeskip-

It was night time now. You had tried all day to try and talk to Smoker about your feelings. But each and every time failed. Its going just like it had all the other 4 years. And worse of all, you were the only one without any jobs. Even Tashigi had jobs, everyone was busy all day. And you also couldn't go to Sengoku's office, or the main room, which confused you even more. You were sitting in your office sulking/pouting. You hadn't been able to see Smoker since the last time you attempted to to talk to him. You had ran around the entire base looking for him, but couldn't find him anywhere. So you just finally gave up and retired to your personal office. But it wasn't long until Smoker surprised you by bursting into your office. Your head shot up from its resting place on your desk and you stared at Smoker wide eyed.

"Smoker! What is it?!" You asked, the panic and worry evident in your voice.

"Sengoku wants you, hes got a job for you." Smoker told you and you looked at him confused as you stood up from your chair. 

"Why didn't he call me instead of sending you to get me?" You asked, confusion laced in your voice. Smoker shrugged as you walked past him and out the door, towards Sengoku's office with Smoker trailing close behind. Once you got to Sengoku's office, you took a quick glance at Smoker before opening the door. Only to fall backwards and into Smoker's arms as a bunch of Marines jumped out of no where, in the heart decorated room with a valentine mood to it. Shocked, you looked up at Smoker, who was still holding you, with, once again, wide eyes. Smoker had a small smile on his face as he gazed down at you. You stood up straight and turned and faced him head on. 

"Y-You... d-did you do this?" You managed to stutter out around your shock. Smoker gave a curt nod and after a second more of you staring at him in shock, you smiled brightly and jumped up on Smoker and wrapped your arms around his neck in a hug.

"Thank you Smoker!" You yelled happily, and you felt his chest rumble as he gave a small chuckle,making you quickly realize what you were doing and quickly let go and jump off, saying a small "sorry" as you looked away with a bright red face.

"Its fine. Don't worry about it. So what do you think? Do you like it?" Smoker asked. Most people would think something was wrong with Smoker because of how he was acting. But to you, this was normal. You and every other Marine at this base knew how Smoker treated you differently, nicer. So when Smoker decided to do this for you, no one was surprised and all happily agreed to help make it. That's also why Smoker had seemed so tired, more than normal, today. And why he and every other Marine was so busy doing "jobs". It was a last minute decision, so they had to do everything that day. Typical Smoker. You giggled at your own thoughts before nodding with a smile, but then suddenly started shaking your head, no.

"Actually, no I don't like it.... I love it!" You yelled as you hugged Smoker once again, him hugging back. When you let go and looked around, you saw some chocolate and it reminded you about your chocolate as you subconsciously slipped your hand into your pocket.

"Hey Smoker, can I talk to you?" You asked and Smoker looked over at you and stared at you for a few seconds, as you looked ahead, before nodding and grabbed your hand as he walked towards a moonlight balcony underneath the starry night sky. You started to fidget as Smoker stared at you, nervous. He watched you fidget and try to figure out how to word it for a few more seconds, before speaking up himself.

"So what did you want to talk about? To be honest, I wanted to talk to you about something as well." He admitted and you nodded before sighing and gathering up all your courage and pulled out the box of chocolates with a blush as you looked off to the side.

"Happy valentines day Smokey. I made these chocolates myself, I hope you like them. And I  wanted to tell you... I love you." You said as you looked up at him with a closed eye smile and a blush, with your hands still out stretched with the chocolates in them. When suddenly you felt something soft and warm on your lips, with a strong taste of nicotine. Your eyes shot wide open as you stared at the man kissing you with wide eyes. Smoker. You weren't expecting that. You eventually melt into the kiss and kiss back, but then Smoker pulls back with a smirk on his face as he took the chocolate out of your hands before pecking you on the cheek and walking past you.

"Thank you. I know I will love them. I love you too (N/N)."

-Bonus-

"Wait! Smoker!" You called after him and he turned around and looked at you.

"What was it that you wanted to talk to me about?" You asked and Smoker smirked as he gave a low chuckle before turning around and starting to walk away again.

"That's for me to know and you to find out. We'll talk about it another time."
