Chapter 10: One Year Anniversary

In twenty four hours, it’s North and Markus’ anniversary. Markus had no idea what to do, what a great boyfriend, am I right? So, he was with the Carl, the apparent love expert of their relationship. They were sitting in the dining room.
“You have to be romantic!” advised Carl. Romantic? We can barely go on a date.
“Dad, I know nothing about romance!” Markus replied
“So I’ve heard,” Carl mumbled, referring to Simon’s call on their first date. “Anyway, what does she love more than anything in this world?” Carl asked.
“Uh, thirium soda,” Markus replied. I think everyone knows that by now. Carl thought for a moment then got the perfect plan.

*Timeskip*

Markus was back to North in their room, it was was 11 pm only an hour before their anniversary. She was on her phone, buying more thirium soda. All I need to do is give her this.
“North?” Markus asked. She turned her head around and smiled at him. He gave her an empty bottle of thirium soda. It had a note in it. She raised her eyebrow and took the note.

Go outside to the car, the journey won't be far.

“Where are we going?” North chuckled.
“I-it’s a surprise,” Markus replied while grabbing her hand. North grabbed her bag as Markus lead her to the car. In the passenger seat was another bottle and a note.

“Where I “fell”?” North inquired confused. She sat in the passenger seat, as Markus turned on the car.
“It’s not that type of fell,” Markus laughed as the car moved onto the road.
“Then what does it mean?” North replied.
“Like I said, it’s a surprise,” Markus stated. The destination was ten minutes away North was really confused what’s going on, while Markus was excited. They were almost there North was getting impatient, Markus could tell because she was tapping her foot. “North it’s not that far,” Markus quoted from his note. That made North smile at him, she’s so beautiful. The time turned to 11:10 pm, which means they had arrived. It was an abandoned cathedral? Wow, romantic. On the outside it was decorated with banners that said happy anniversary. North was astonished, she immediately stepped out of the car.
“H-how did you-
“That’s not all of it,” Markus interrupted her as he held her hand. They walked inside the cathedral. Though, it wasn’t just any cathedral, it’s the cathedral during the demonstration of the androids and the humans. There was the bench, where North said… “I love you Markus”. It had two deluxe thirium soda bottles and one empty one with another note.

I hope what you said was true, when you said on this bench “I love you”.

North started crying tears of joy. I didn’t mean to make her cry did I do something wrong?
“North are you-
“I love you!” she interrupted him as she hugged him tightly still crying. Markus hugged her back and said.
“I love you too.”
They let go of eachother and sat down on the bench.
“Of course thirium soda- wait you got the deluxe ones!” North laughed while still wiping her eyes that were still full of tears.
“Well, this is our anniversary!” Markus replied as he held her hand. North kissed him on the cheek and smiled widely.
The two drank from the bottles.
“Oh, I almost forgot,” North started as she opened her bag and reached something out. “This is your anniversary present.” North handed it to him. It was and empty bottle with a ship inside, that looked just like Jericho. The best thing about it though, was that on the side instead of saying Jericho, it said “I’m glad I met you”. This is incredible, RA9… she is incredible. “I know it’s not as great as yours-
Markus stopped her from talking by kissing her.
“Are you kidding me? This is the most amazing thing anyone has done for me!” Markus stated as he held her face. Correction, she’s the most amazing thing that has happened to me. He let go of her face and held her hands. “Also North?”
“Yes Markus.”
“I’m glad I met you too.”
