Markus had the perfect idea. Of course it’s thirium soda related, because obviously.
“North?” Markus called out to her she was laying in bed, as always, drinking thirium soda, as always, on her phone, as… always.
“Yep!” she answered him with a smile. “Wait we’re not going on a scavenger hunt like we did on our anniversary is it?” North asked as she got up and crossed her arms.
“No, it’s not that, I just think that we could go on a date?” Markus asked. North widened her eyes, their first date was actual hell, because of Simon and Josh.
“Simon and Josh aren't coming are they?”
“Nope,” Markus laughed,”It’s secluded.”
“Oh thank RA9,” North sighed as she walked up to him. “Then where are we going?”
“A surprise!”
“Oh RA9, another surprise?”
“Just shut up and follow me,” Markus laughed as he held her hand. She rolled her eyes and followed him. They walked outside and got in the car. As North got in the passenger seat Markus kissed her on the cheek.
“H-hey! That’s my thing!” North giggled.
“Well I do love you too!”
“S-shut up…”*Timeskip*
They arrived at a mountain range? North was confused, but intrigued on what they’re going to do. They were the only ones there. Both of them got out of the car then Markus held her hand.
“What are we doing?” North asked as they started walking up the slope.
“You’ll find out soon,” Markus replied. When they reached the top, there was a small, round table and two chairs. On the edge of it was a metal fence to stop anyone from falling, and an incredible view of Detroit. “You always said that you liked heights because of the views, I know it’s not the same as the one at Jericho, but I thought it could come close,” Markus said. North turned to him and kissed him on the lips.
“Y’know, I really need to surprise you sometime soon,” she replied as she placed a hand on his face. That’s not the only surprise. Markus smiled at her and they sat down on the chairs. Okay fireworks check, ring check and thirium soda check. Well Markus did lie about one thing, Simon and Josh were there. Don’t worry they weren’t stalking them, Markus actually asked them to do a favour, set off fireworks. They’re aren't normal fireworks, they’re fireworks that spell out words, for example: Will You Marry Me? Markus was nervous, what if she says no? What would that mean for us? North saw that he was nervous and placed her hand over his that was on the table. “Markus, are you okay?” she asked softly. No I’m not okay, I’m a nervous wreck!
“I-I’m fine, just a little afraid of heights!” Markus lied. That’s so stupid, she knows I’m not afraid of heights.
“What? Since when?”
“Since I… fell off the roof when you accidentally threw Green up there!”
“If your so afraid of heights then why did you come up here?” North laughed.
“I-I did it for you,” Markus replied as he held her hand tighter. She smiled at him, her eyes were becoming glossy. Okay, it’s almost time, just gotta give the signal to Simon and Josh.*Meanwhile with Simon and Josh*
Simon and Josh were down in the Detroit park, they could see Markus and North while using their advanced vision.
“Did he give you the signal yet!?” Simon asked impatiently.
“No not yet,” Josh sighed. Next to them was a firework machine.
“I just want them to get married!” Simon squealed as he stared at the couple. “What are they doing?” Simon asked as he turned his back checking the machine. He didn’t want to miss a cute moment between them two, so whenever he turned his back he made Josh check for him.
“Uh… OH They’re holding hands again!” Josh replied. Simon smiled widely and quickly turned around. It was then that Markus did the signal… it was just a thumbs up. Josh and Simon looked at each other and quickly turned on the machine. The fireworks flew up in the sky.*Markus*
Yes the fireworks are working. North turned he head and gasped.
Hi North
She put a hand over her mouth.
I Love You
Markus slowly picked up the thirium soda.
Hope You Love Me More-
He put the ring at the end of the straw
Than Thirium Soda
North started to cry.
And If You Do-
Markus held her hand again.
Will It Be Okay-
He put the thirium soda on the table.
If I Marry You?
On the centre of the table was a thirium soda with an engagement ring hanging on the end of a straw. North turned to him and was crying her eyes out.
“Well, North will you marry me?” Markus asked again. She quickly got up and kissed him repeatedly.
“Of course I will marry you!” she cried as she kissed him again. Markus took the ring off the straw and put it on her finger.
“You can have the thirium soda as well!” Markus laughed. North sat back down and held his hand.
“I don’t need it, I got you,” she smiled as he held his other hand as well. Suddenly another set fireworks flew up it spelt:
Norkus! <3Dammit Josh and Simon! North chuckled and shook her head, she instantly knew it was Simon and Josh. Markus smiled at her then lift her hand up, with the ring on it, and kissed it.
“I love you North.”
“I love you too.”
