CHAPTER 8

MMASINACHI'S POV

I woke up earlier than my roommates. I had my bath and dressed up. I woke Zainab and Kamsy up but only Zainab complied. I sat down on my bed and started reading online

Up until now I still remembered the warning my dad gave me before I came here

'Mmasinachi' he called me

'Sir' I answered

'Hold your ears and drag it well so you wouldn't miss a single word I'm saying' I looked at him and reluctantly dragged my ears

'As you're going to that school don't think that you are going there to be free from me and my persuasions for you to read because if you come back here with a bad result don't bother crossing that gate out there'

The way he threatened me was like I will live hell and I trust my dad. When he is serious don't try giving him any excuse and just accept your faith

"Mma what are you doing" Zainab asked

"Reading" I replied simply

"Reading, we just started the term, c'mon loosen up a bit" she said raising my arms and shaking me

I laughed at her feeble attempt of trying to make me stop reading, but I can't lie to myself it is true that this is just the beginning

I looked at her and saw she was trying to wake Kamsy up while Kamsy was murmuring something in her sleep and I could only collect slurred speeches from her

I laughed at the sight before me and got up to help Zainab

"On the count of three, we drag her down from the bed" I said looking at Zainab and she nodded affirmatively

"One, two, three" I said and we successfully dragged her down from the bed.

She opened her eyes and looked up at me and Zainab and hissed

"What's your problem" she said glaring at me

"Was it only me that dragged you" I said

"I know you were not the only one but you are the mastermind behind my current position" she replied back

"Whatever go and have your bath it will soon be time for breakfast" I told her

She grumbled but still got off the floor and went to have her bath

We later arrived at the hall and I spotted the boys already soitted. I took a seat beside Carys. I looked up at him but he seemed to be so engrossed in whatever he was doing with he phone

I ignored him and went online. I got up and picked my food, I sat down and ate what I could hurriedly since I was meant to meet the principal before the assembly

I got up since I couldn't finish the food and hurried till I reached the administrative block. I walked around the maze known as a building. I ended up returning back to the same spot I started off in

I looked around myself to see if I could spot anyone that could possibly help me find the principal's office

I kept on looking but I heard someone chuckling lightly. I turned around but no one was there. Okay this is getting creepy

I turned around to see who I definitely wasn't expecting

Carys

"Of all people to see this fine morning it ends up to be you?" I said slightly annoyed because of a thousand reasons

"Why are you so Moody?" He asked squinting his eyes like he could see through me

"Don't act so innocent snub pro" I said

"Snub pro, you couldn't find a sweet name like Honey bunch, baby, sweety, my heart throb, my love, dar--"

"My what!!!" I asked wide eyed

"My--- love, don't tell me you don't love me?" He said accusingly

"Carys"

"Yes baby"

"Define love"

"Love, it has so many definitions but I'll define what I feel towards you"

"Okay, let's hear it" I said looking at him expectantly

"Love is a strong romantic feeling you have for someone. Its like there's an invisible string pulling you towards that person. It makes you see past that persons fears, insecurities, doubts and so on. Flaws and all you cherish that person unconditionally. You don't care if the world is opposing you, but because that person is with you, you don't give it a second thought and that's my definition of love" he said smiling proudly

To say I'm shocked is an understatement, this guy is a prodigy

"Carys" I said looking at him

"Hmm" he answered looking back at me

"Have you ever been in love before?" I asked looking at him waiting for his answer

"Yeah, but I doubt she feels and will ever feel the same way" he said looking at me intently

That look he gives when he's like "its you"

"Why do you say so"

"I don't know, I just get that vibe. It's radiating of her, I can feel it but I don't think others can" he said looking sad

A pang of guilt hit me and I knew underneath that happy face and smile, there was a sad Carys and it was all because of me

I sigh deeply and look up at him. I place my palm on his cheek, and hug him

"I'm sorry" I said by the crook of his neck

"No need to be, you can't force yourself" he said trying to mask his sadness

I pull him closer and then I hear thunderous claps. I pull back and turned to see we had more company than I actually expected

"Magnifque, I loved it. It wjtas thrilling but yet intriguing. Beautiful is all I can say. I could feel tension. Be sure to visit me in my office, both of you"

With that he walked off. I turned to see Osinachi staring at me wide eyed.

"My babies, it was beautiful, words can't explain" Devin said wiping a fake tear

"Devin, seriously!!" I said while he was grinning stupidly

"I can't believe my ears, you know, Carys you should have just got down on one knee and proposed. It would have been nice!" Osinachi said

"I know right" Liam said

"I could feel those three words coming along" Tosin said

Kamsy just looked at me with this 'we'll talk later' look

"I think you guys need to get to class while I'll find out my class" I said looking around

"Kamsy could you please escort me. I couldn't find the principal's office" I asked looking at her

"Sure, Carys take this to class for me, alright?" She dropped everything in his hands

He was about to oppose her but Kamsy cut him in mid sentence

"I don't---"

"Thanks" she directed at Carys and took off with me trailing behind her
