CHAPTER 13

MMASINACHI'S POV

I hurriedly entered into my class after having dinner. During dinner they all discussed about that new song 'Betty butter' by Mayorkun and Davido which I partially blocked out but still listened to some like when Devin said he totally surfered the same fate

"Its like Mayorkun and Davido knew my predicament that's why they recorded that song" Devin said

"What do you mean" I asked out of curiosity. What? I blocked out the conversation partially

"Like the girl dated wait what am I even saying, she played my brother and I. This one is not even on friendship basis it was on family basis"

"We went on multiple dates with her and spent a lot of cash on this girl. When I say a lot I mean a lot" he said emphasising on the 'a lot'

"Well, we didn't know we were going out with the same girl but she knew she was going out with two brothers and anytime I brought up the topic of meeting my brother since he was the closest to me in my family, she always gave one excuse or the other" he said

"Guy wait wait wait, how didn't you guys know you were being played by the same girl, didn't she give her name" Liam said

Devin looked at him and eyed him but not before hissing at the guy.  Liam gave him this 'what-did-i-do?'look

"I dont blame you sha, Its because this kinda girls never reach your side yet. She gave both of us different but similar names, you know na coincidence. She told my brother her name was Josie, while she told me her name was Jessie" He said

"So what did you guys do to the girl?" Tosin asked

"What do guys normally do to girls that played them?" Devin asked back

"Collect everything you gave her" Carys told him

"That one is not enough, have you forgotten the fuel I burnt just to drive around, or the energy I wasted" Devin asked looking at us like we were crazy

"Igbo boy" Liam said

"Calabar boy" Devin said back to Liam

"All in all what did you do? it will soon be time for prep" I said looking at him

"She became our house help" he said plainly

"Ah ahn, is it not too much" Tosin said

"Its not my fault na, we relocated and one day my mum came back with the girl as our house help. She had not met the girl we were both dating by that time so when she came back with Jenny we both kept mute and allowed her to do her job" Devin said shrugging

"Eeya" all of us on the table said except Osinachi

"Well karma is a bitch" Osinachi said and we all looked at her

"God bless you jare, give me your account number" Devin said

"69974521830" she said

He nodded and started working on his phone. He then looked up and asked

"Have you seen it?" He said

"Seen what?" She asked and we heard a ping sound

"That" he said and we watched incredulously as her face split into a smile

"You're such a darling, thank you" she said blowing him a kiss

Liam cleared his throat and they turned to look at us. Is like they forgot about us ooo

"What happened?" I asked

"Oh that, he transferred 5k into my account" Osinachi said

"For what?" Tosin asked staring like she has seen a ghost

"For saying karma is a bitch" he said

"But why na" Kamsy whined

"She's the only one that didn't criticize the situation" he said and we all groaned loudly

"Stop groaning and let's get to class, prep will soon begin" Osinachi said

We all left and I'm seated at the back of the class so I could concentrate more. That's my point of view on the case. Nobody sitting behind you to know what you're reading. Happens a lot when you have jealous classmates trying to copy everything you do but make it better

I noticed the seat beside me was dragged back and someone sat beside me. I didn't bother to look cause my attention was directed towards my book and only my book

"Hey" A male voice said

I didn't reply

"You're the new girl right? Osinachi's twin"

Nooo I'm the old girl, Angel Gabriel's twin

"I love that topic" he said while placing his head in front of the book

"Hey" I said in an offended way and looked up to see this breathtakingly handsome guy sitting beside me. I bet my jaw fell on the floor cause he was like--

"Are you okay" he asked me

"Yeah,I'm alright"

"You didn't reply to me the first time"

"I know, sorry about that. I wanted to concentrate on my book and avoid distractions" I said apologetically

"So I'm a distraction" he said smirking

"Yeah, your so cute, handsome whatever you want to call it"

What!! I'm straightforward with whatever I want to say to anybody, male or female

"Waww, straightforward unlike some that twist their hair, blush and stutter" he said while nodding his head stylishly over at Keva and some other girl sitting beside her

I laughed out loud forgetting I was in class. The whole class and the teacher in front turned to look at me

"Miss, what is so funny" the teacher asked

"Nothing ma" I said while trying to suppress my laughter

"Gabriel what's so funny"

"Nothing Mrs. Cooky" he said in a serious tone

"Better" she said and the class continued reading or that's what I thought

"Mma, why is he glaring at me like I spoilt his plan" Gabriel asked while nodding his head towards Carys's direction

"Cause I guess you did" I said while returning my attention back to my book

Chapter 13 gone. I really loved writing this chapter. I hope you  loved reading it as much as I loved writing it

We have a new character 'Gabriel' he isn't going to be in the cast list cause he will be here for a while not the whole story
