Chapter 3: Misunderstanding

Everyone was so surprised to find the whole engine room covered in ice. Leena's eyes bulged and her jaw dropped. She was not happy about her precious ship being frozen.

"What the heck happened?!Who did this?!" The furious lioness yelled as everyone jumped back startled and she stormed outside to check the damage from outside.

Kara turned to the window and spotted something that got him surprised. "Look" he said and Max looked through the window and spotted a little fox pup running to the ship...Zinti. Curious, Max decided to follow Leena.

Max got outside at the open entrance of the Phoenix while Leena walked out and he felt a cold chill hit his skin. "Brrr! Now I know what Leena meant earlier about the cold" he commented and rubbed his arms for warmth. "S-Should've brought a jacket" he added and looked at Leena.

Suddenly, a blue figure with a blue hood came out behind Leena. Max's eyes widen in surprise and he forgot about being cold.

It was actually Tazer. He had no idea that Max was behind him. The fox slowly got close behind Leena and took out his sword and lifted it up to knock out Leena. Max's eyes widen and his heart raced.

"Leena watch out!" Max yelled out and ran towards the two. Leena turned around quickly and alert and Max quickly grabbed the fox, stopping the sneak attack. He wrapped his arms around the fox, restraining him which made Tazer drop his sword.

"Argh! Let go of me!" Tazer demanded furious as he struggled to get out of Max's grip. Their friends came out, hearing the ruckus from inside. "Tazer!" Leena's ears twitched at a voice and she turned and spotted Zinti.

The small fox noticed the lioness and froze, her ears down scared. "Kara!" Leena called Kara and the elephant came running to her side. "Help me try and get her. But be gentle" Leena instructed and he nodded.

The two approached the fox slowly...but they weren't expecting the unexpected. Zinti shot out ice magic from her paws. The ice hit Kara and it missed Leena. Leena could feel the cold chill pass her cheek.

Kara got sent flying to the ground near the others. Max and his friends stared in amazement and looked back at Leena and Zinti.

Leena crouched down at Zinti's height as the little fox hid behind the wing of the Phoenix. Leena smiled at her gently "It's ok. We won't hurt you. We're friends" Leena assured the little fox.

Zinti's ears twitched at Tazer grunting as he still struggled to get out of Max's arms. "If you're a friend then let go of my big brother. As princess of the Arctic Fox Kingdom, I demand you let him go" Zinti ordered serious as she placed her little paws on her hips.

"Princess?" Leena said surprised. The friends also heard it and got surprised. Max finally let go of Tazer. The fox glared at him, his ears flat as he held his hurt arm. It hurted more when Max restrained him.

Max noticed the fox's face wince in pain and him holding his arm. Max's ears lowered and felt bad for hurting him. He didn't mean to.

Zinti ran over to Tazer and hugged his leg. Higgabottom approached the two foxes "Clearly there was a Misunderstanding. We are friends. And you two might be?" Higga asked curious as Tazer picked up his sword with his good hand.

Tazer looked at the owl "I am prince Tazer. This is my little sister Zinti. And our kingdom needs help" Tazer told them serious as the friends looked at the fox siblings.
