By the end of the third period, Seokjin finally finished cleaning up his counter. Jin pet Jimin's hair softly, allowing the soft bluish-gray color to flow under his fingertips.
"I kind of need to leave now. Apparently I've got overdue books.."
Jimin nodded.
"Of course! I'll see you later then,"
With a wink and a smile, he left Jin alone. Sighing, he made the slow pace to the school's library, one which he hasn't visited in several years. Staring off into his own little headspace, he walked down the increasingly empty halls as he goes closer. Before heading inside, he fumbled through his backpack for his phone and quickly called Namjoon.
"Joon! I'll meet you two soon, I'm visiting the study."
Namjoon audibly groaned.
"There? There's nothing but nerds."
Jin quietly laughed,
"Speaking of nerds, where's Taehyung?"
Whispering into the phone's mic, Namjoon seemed like he was walking through a desolate area.
"I'm busy trying to figure that out. It won't take long though, so hurry up."
Namjoon quickly hanged up with Seokjin, who was left to enter the library.
Opening the wide wooden doors, the musty smell of old papers and scented candles hit Seokjin. Dust particles float through the air from the lengthy windows as if no one's bothered hanging around here for a while. Coughing, Seokjin looked over the few patrons bothering to read at this time of day, and the lone librarian seemingly bored from his own job. From a few feet away, Seokjin could only tell that he was apparently almost as short as Jimin and had a round face worth admiring. Walking through the dust-layered floor and the mountains of books, he faced the stranger. Seokjin leans his arm forward, about to tap his seemingly unsuspecting shoulder before the stranger snapped around. His wooden engraved nametag merely states, "Min Yoongi".
"I'm assuming you're here because of late fees?"
Seokjin politely laughed.
"How did you kn-"
Yoongi coldly replied, cutting into Seokjin's sentence.
"That's all anyone's here for."
Seokjin smirked.
"I'm actually here to check something out too."
Yoongi tilted his head in mild curiosity.
"And that would be?"
Seokjin leaned into Yoongi's ear and whispered.
"You."
Yoongi's pale skin turned a light red before promptly banning Seokjin from the library. Before being forcibly taken out, Yoongi handed him his number on a working card.
"Don't think it's an invitation to talk to me. It's just a work policy here."
Seokjin smiled before walking out the door.
"See you soon."
Taking a deep breath of the clean air, he went on his phone to put Yoongi's phone number in. Inside the library, Yoongi's phone rang twice before he bothered to pick up.
"Was kicking you out not a clear enough sign?"
Wiping the dust off his school uniform, Jin replied.
"Would you rather spend your time covered in dust or being annoyed at me?"
Seokjin is quickly faced with the ending tone. Yoongi then headed out with his nametag covered with a piece of paper and messenger bag on his back.
"What was your plan anyway?"
"Well, I didn't think I'd get this far."
With a quick flick to the forehead, he smiled.
"At least the books know what they're doing."
Yoongi turned to face the library's door before Seokjin tugged on his sweater.
"I'll make it worth your time! Let's head to the basement cafe."
Yoongi sighed as Seokjin dragged him down to the school's flight of stairs. Heading down the steps two at a time, he waved for Yoongi to catch up. Reaching the basement, Seokjin knocked on the door twice and it swung open ahead of them.
"How come I've never known about this?"
Seokjn smirked under the dim light of the overhead lamp.
"Technically, I'm not supposed to either."
Seokjin dragged the shorter male into the room and is greeted by the pleasant scenery. A few couches and coffee tables are placed together somehow matching the theme of a cozy pub. Steam filled the room as the workers sort out coffee orders and bakes, fogging up the decorative glass separating the eating area and the work stations.
"Is this even legal?"
Yoongi went over to a chair and seemed hesitant to sit down comfortably. The other male, however, sat down across from Yoongi, ordering two lattes for both of them.
"You look like you need coffee."
Yoongi snorted.
"I look that terrible?"
Seokjin leaned over in his chair and examined Yoongi's eyes.
"Even with the eye bags, you're still cute."
Muttering under his breath, the older backed away from the younger.
"You don't get to be so dominant in the first meeting."
Seokjin slumped back into his chair and paid for the lattes once the waiter came by. "
What, am I not pulling it off?"
The shorter male pouts.
"Barely."
Seokjin showed off a dashing smile as Yoongi used the large latte cup in order to hide his own gummy smile. Seokjin carefully watched Yoongi, the buzzing from his phone becoming less audible as he paid attention to his soft details.
"Stop being creepy and check on your phone."
His cheeks blush as he goes to his phone. Numerous text messages from Namjoon and one from Taehyung stood in his notifications. Opening Taehyung's it read,
"You really have to stop hitting on everyone, you flirt. Namjoon and I are entertaining enough, hmm?"
Seokjin's face is left puzzled as he struggles to reply to the cryptic message.
Joonie: Have you seen Taehyung yet?
Joonie: He's not at the usual meeting spot.
Joonie: Are you done checking in the books already?
Joonie: Stop flirting with guys and help me find him.
