Even the rain wants its existence to be known

Peering in from the condensed window, Taehyung searched for his Hyung. It only started pouring heavier as the school's schedule closed to an end. Usually, his free period would allow more time to check up on Seokjin but it almost seemed as if there was no one to be found. Hoseok was supposed to be here to substitute, but even he couldn't be seen. Next to Seokjin's always empty spot he wasn't able to fill, a dyed red hair boy was nuzzling against him. Wiping away the water vapor, he could clearly see the substitute getting uncomfortably close to Seokjin.

"Seokjin doesn't even like this movie.."

Taehyung sighed and leaned against the classroom wall, not minding the rain.

By the end of the movie, Hoseok gently woke up Seokjin. The Disney movie finally reached it's an extremely predictable ending by the time the bell rang. The class emptied out, coming out better than when they got in. Hoseok smiled and pulled Seokjin out of his desk.

"Alright! Up we go."

Seokjin shook off his messy hair and sighed.

"I've been falling asleep conveniently too.."

Hoseok smiled and turned the lights back on.

"At our age, it's normal! Don't worry too much about it."

Seokjin smiled and peered out the cloudy windows. Turning his attention to brown-greenish hair, he could see Taehyung waiting patiently against the classroom.

"Aish."

Quickly opening the door, he threw his towel on Taehyung.

"Oh, the class is over."

Seokjin sighed and used the towel to dry off Taehyung.

"You're going to get a cold.."

Taehyung slyly smiled as he stood up and went back to the rain.

"The positive is that I got to see you."

The other pouted and covered Taehyung with an umbrella.

"You always get to see me! It's nothing special."

Taehyung smiled.

"Of course it's special. It's worth getting sick over."

Seokjin quickly waved Hoseok off and focused on Taehyung.

"That's sweet and stupid."

The younger smiled.

"It's one of those cliches you always like."

Seokjin hesitantly melted into a grin.

"Speaking of which, let's watch a movie once we get home."

Taehyung tilted his head in curiosity.

"Well, I'll have to take care of you! Someone has to."

Taehyung smiled and leaned his head against Seokjin as they headed home.

"I'm taking your shower. Do you mind?"

Seokjin waved Taehyung as he headed into the shower. Flipping through the Netflix options, Taehyung emerged out of the shower.

"Geez! Take your time."

Taehyung grinned and took one of Seokjin's smaller t-shirts.

"Did you pick a movie?"

Seokjin sighed and goes over to his favorites list.

"Do you mind rewatching this?"

Taehyung looked over to see Seokjin's favorite movie, a stereotypical rom-com that ends in a technically correct happy future.

"It's your house."'

Seokjin smiled and made room for Taehyung on the couch.

"Of course it is."

He pressed play and Taehyung cuddled to next to Seokjin.

"You're extra touchy today."

Though Seokjin said it in a light-hearted tone, he was right. Seeing Seokjin meet so many new characters today made him feel the need to be that much closer to him. Thinking back, Taehyung hasn't been able to be this close to him since middle school.

As a new transfer in middle school, Taehyung arrived just in time for sixth grade. The rumors of a perfect boy lured him here, only to find the reason he came was already moving to high school. Seeing him so naturally, with his best friend, he was almost jealous of him. Later finding out his name was Namjoon, he worked his way up the school's popularity ranks just to get closer to him. By Seokjin's graduation, Taehyung took the necessary placement tests to be on his side. On that day, he finally got to talk to him for the first time. He was just as perfect as he's always heard, his expectations becoming reality. Finally becoming Seokjin's friend, he was ready to cement himself into his life for as long as he could.

"This is where they kiss!"

Seokjin looked in appreciation over to the couple's make-out screen on TV as cheesy romantic music cued in.

"I'm not sure why you like this film so much."

Taehyung nustled his head further into Seokjin's chest.

"It's just so perfect! Their chemistry isn't forced at all! All they need is each other..."

Taehyung looked up to Seokjin and grinned.

"What, are you jealous?"

Seokjin pouted and raised the TV's volume.

"Just pay attention!"

Taehyung took the remote from him and lowered the volume, quiet enough to hear Seokjin's breathing.

"Is that why you're flirting with so many boys?"

Seokjin blushed and lightly tossed a pillow at him.

"I'm not flirting with them deliberately! We just click."

Taehyung looked at him side-ways.

"Like in the movie?"

Seokjin gave a heavenly sigh.

"Just like in the movies!"

Taehyung looked at him blankly as he went back to cuddling against his Hyung.

"Do we have chemistry? Like in the movies?"

Seokjin ruffled his hair and smiled.

"Of course! That's why we're best friends."

Taehyung hugged Seokjin's arm as the movie continued. Were they really doomed to only be best friends? Is that all he worked for? Maybe it wasn't loving after all. Looking up, he could still see Seokjin's eyes focused on the screen, cheeks faintly red over the screen's display of affection. Taehyung sat up and looked directly at Seokjin.

"What is it?"

Taehyung leaned closer to Seokjin, moving directly above his body.

"Wouldn't it be better if I showed you the real thing?"

Seokjin turned red and sank deeper into the couch.

"I-I'm your Hyung."

Taehyung kissed Seokjin directly and smiled.

"Yes, and only mine. I don't like sharing you..."

Seokjin's eyes widened in alarm as Taehyung continued kissing him and the movie ended briefly.
