Nudging Seokjin along, Namjoon made his way to the beach. Grumbling, Seokjin looked over to the murky waters.
"What are we really doing here, Namjoon?"
Initially, he didn't know why they were here either. His gut instincts just brought them the furthest away from school, away from any possible suspects.
"Crabs."
Seokjin blinked.
"We're here to go crabbing?"
Namjoon forced out an awkward smile.
"Rainy days are perfect since there's no one around."
Seokjin looked over to the sand, completely devoid of any crustacean life.
"..Let's go back to school."
Namjoon quickly looked around the area for a plausible reason to make them stay. Luckily to Namjoon's lack of preparedness, a nearby cafe sat on the shore.
"Actually, I do have things to talk to you about."
Seokjin made his way towards the cafe, shivering throughout the entire process.
"Inside then!"
The entire walk over, he scrambled to think of conversation topics. Entering the quaint place's warmth, he ran out of time. Seokjin quickly placed seats for both of them and sat across from Namjoon.
"So, what was so important that you dragged me from school?"
With a wary expression, Namjoon pulled out his case files.
"I want your advice on this."
Seokjin took one of the documents and read over its dark content.
"It's.. mostly blank."
The other gave a small chuckle.
"The officers won't let me see anything but public records."
Going over all of the papers, Seokjin's expression went from curious to frightened.
"They're still out there?"
With a tense frown, he read over the most recent case again.
"Into the wind every time."
Sensing his best friend's grave tone, he reached over the table to hold his hand.
"You're not alone, you know."
Easing at his touch, Namjoon was able to crack a small smile.
"Thanks for being my reminder."
With a beatific smile, Seokjin sat there in front of him, somehow stirring Namjoon's emotions without doing anything at all.
Leaving the library, Taehyung felt off-center. The brief reoccurrence of his childhood friend was a reminder that he left ties that he didn't cut off correctly. He's wasted enough time and decided to have a quick taste of what he's been working for most of his youthful life. With numb fingers, he pulled out his phone to text his Hyung. His profile stated that he was "occupied with Joon". Another pang of jealousy. When would he be able to boldly say he'd been occupied with him? At this time, he doubted that Seokjin would reply to anything he said. Soon, he'd pay attention to him. With loving intention, he went to sever the last tie that could possibly separate him from Seokjin. Pacing about the halls, he looked to the sound of any sounds of a brutal assault. Heading towards what he knew to be Seokjin's classroom, he could hear Jungkook assaulting yet another senior. Taehyung noticed this senior to often hang around Seokjin, leaving behind love letters that he always had to toss out.
"What'd you do with him?! You stalker."
This senior was off-putting, constantly trailing Seokjin's schedule and keeping behind trinkets. He could always tell when one of Seokjin's pencils mysteriously went missing and it wasn't his own possession. Taehyung looked for Jungkook's cruel smile but he could only see uneasy anger.
"Jungkook."
Jungkook looked over to Taehyung with a fierce glare.
"You're even worse then he is. Did you come here to abandon me again?"
Taehyung snickered and went closer to Jungkook.
"I don't want your parental issues being lashed out at me."
Jungkook shot him a deadpan look as he kicked over the senior to glare directly at Taehyung.
"Let's settle this then."
