Seokjin argued with Jungkook until the end of class, often losing their short arguments.

"But I am your Hyung! Have some respect."

Jin attempted to look more mature, but his cute facial expressions got in the way.

"You should stop trying so hard."

Jungkook poked his cheek adoringly.

"You're so annoying..!"

Seokjin pouted more as his cheeks reddened. Jungkook laughed and flashed him a bunny smile.

"It's one of my few flaws! I can't help it."

Seokjin blew air onto Jungkook's face before checking his watch.

"That was foul play!"

Seokjin grinned.

"What are you going to do about it?"

Jungkook's threats were muffled by the school bell's chimes. The elder packed away his backpack and handed a slip of paper to Jungkook containing his phone number.

"We're friends now, aren't we?"

Jungkook took it firmly as he watches his handsome senior walk away.

Walking slowly this time around, Seokjin headed towards the more crowded inner classrooms. Seokjin brushed past students, careful that his shoulders didn't hit anyone on the way. This time, he would actually be able to arrive before the bell rang. He didn't look forward to the class per se, but spending time with his closest friend. Entering the classroom, Namjoon waited in his seat and pulled out Seokjin's next to him. With a greeting smile, Seokjin sat next to him and finally relaxed. Math was always calm, minds busier on the equations then talking.

"What's the unit now?"

Namjoon passed Seokjin a packet around half a foot thick.

"..You're kidding."

Namjoon gave Seokjin a reassuring back pat.

"Come on, I'll help."

Seokjin began working on equations, taking up all the scratch paper. Often scratching his head, he said blankly.

"Talk to me so my pulse doesn't go flat."

Namjoon smiled, showing those dimples that managed to comfort Seokjin without words.

Audibly groaning, Seokjin finished only half of the packet. Namjoon looked over to Seokjin's packet, moving away from his own. Seokjin's eyes light up as Namjoon's attention.

"Are you going to let me cheat?"

The other shook his head.

"Surprisingly, No. I'll teach you."

Seokjin sighed.

"What the hell is our own teacher doing?"

Currently, the teacher was "out" leaving nothing but the packets behind.

"I'm a good enough substitute, right?"

Namjoon leaned over to Seokjin's side, his head directly above his. Something about his lingering voice re-energized Seokjin as he received guided instruction from him. "

You seemed more tired today. Did something happen while I was searching for Taehyung?"

Recounting the day's event, Seokjin blushed. He couldn't quite tell through his embarrassment, but Namjoon looked slightly sad that he's found others, but even Namjoon couldn't quite place why.

"I met a lot of new friends today."

Leaning into his ear, Namjoon whispered with a smirk.

"You don't need to attract others when you have me."

Seokjin laughed quietly, as not to disturb others.

"We're already best friends! You don't need to worry about other people."

Namjoon leaned away from him to hide his disappointment.

"I'll always be there for you, Namjoon."

Seeing Seokjin's innocent smile, Namjoon shook off those odd feelings of regret and lead him all the way to the end of the unit's problems.

By the end of the unit, Seokjin had nothing left but a melting smile. He hugged Namjoon's arm while thanking him repeatedly.

"Sheesh, I know you're tired but show some restraint."

Seokjin rubbed his cheek against Joon's.

"I can't help but feel happy! It's all thanks to you."

Namjoon felt weird seeing Seokjin in such an airheaded manner, but it was cute nonetheless. Showing self-restraint, he de-escalated his reactive excitement by only patting his head at moments.

"You're too helpful..."

Namjoon could only search Seokjin for the reason of his misplaced attraction that he couldn't explain. Something about that smile could only pull Namjoon closer to him, even as he resisted. At the moment, he didn't know what it was called. Love? Friendship? It wasn't worth worrying about as long as that smile was still close to him.
