Taehyung looked straight into Namjoon's tired eyes. He could see in vivid detail his paranoia that he's been suffering through.

"And what are you doing here, Namjoon?"

Namjoon cleared his throat and headed underneath the house's roof.

"I just wanted to walk Seokjin to school! That's all."

Speaking such awkward words, he felt a slight embarrassment. With rustling noises in the background, Taehyung looked behind him to see Seokjin rushing to get to school on time.

"He'll be fine with me. The rain's pouring heavily already."

Taehyung tried to shut the front door but Namjoon's foot got in the way.

"You need a more quaint way of dismissal."

With growing irritation, Taehyung opened the door once more.

"You're making the house cold."

Namjoon smiled and moved inside the house.

"You can shut the door now."

Taehyung's lip curled at Namjoon's slight smirk. Seokjin came out of his bedroom in a mess, his school uniform tie unfinished, and his collar in a ruffle.

"I'm not used to being so late... Agh!"

Seokjin grabbed both of their hands and headed outside.

"If we run, we can still make it in time!"

Taehyung clenched Seokjin's hand tighter before Namjoon tugged Seokjin away.

"Even if we did run, we wouldn't make it in time. I'll take you somewhere else."

Seokjin pouted in annoyance.

"Did I get ready for nothing?"

Namjoon pulled Seokjin closer to Taehyung's displeasure.

"Whether it's worth your time or not is your choice."

Namjoon looked over to Taehyung.

"You can still make it in time."

Taehyung glanced over to Seokjin, who was even closer to Namjoon then he would've thought tolerable. With a tense expression, he made his way outside.

"Did something happen between you two?"

With a confused expression over what exactly occurred, he shook it off.

"I couldn't understand it if I tried."

Pushing the door open with Seokjin still in hand, he opened an umbrella wide enough for the both of them.

"Off we go."

Though walking away from the two of them was painful, Taehyung still had other matters to attend to. Arriving at school, the rain cast a darker shadow among the halls. Leaving behind wet footprints, he headed towards the library to meet his first rival. An irksome smell hit him strongly as he entered through its egotistically large doors. Heading towards the front desk, his movement left emptying echoes throughout the room. Taehyung examined over the bookshelves until he found the short boy he'd seen the day prior.

"Yoongi, is it?"

He put away a loose book and stepped down from the ladder.

"Taehyung from the other day. I'm afraid Seokjin isn't here."

Taehyung politely smiled, masking any intentions.

"He didn't bother to attend school today. He's decided to run off with Namjoon."

Yoongi glossed over his knowledge before speaking.

"He's the leader of the photography club, isn't he?"

No reaction to be found.

"He might be using Seokjin as a model then."

Yoongi looked over to the foggy windows.

"And what does that have to do with me?"

He would've been more of a pain to deal with through peaceful encounters.

"What do you see Seokjin as?"

Yoongi scoffed and looked straight into Taehyung's eyes.

"A friend at most."

The other smirked.

"I didn't ask what he thought of you."

That had to have stung. Yoongi's demeanor diminished and Taehyung knew it. Attempting to recover from such cold words, he cleared his throat.

"You speak boldly to your elder. Just because you've run away from your friends doesn't make you any better."

Taehyung stood there in confusion. Yoongi managed to corner him.

"Jungkook missed you."

He hasn't heard that name in a while. Jungkook was his year's golden child with parents praising him at any moment they were given and children growing up only to look up at him from his shadow. He was the only one that seemed to be garnered perfect enough for his attention. Befriending each other in sixth grade, they stuck to only each other. If they were so close at one point, how didn't he notice that he's transferred to the same high school? Being so engrossed in his Hyung, he suffered from lovers' tunnel vision, forgetting anyone that wasn't directly in his path to him. It was only a testament to his love, proof of his dedication towards his beloved. Forgetting any feelings of guilt, he moved forward without looking behind.
