chapter 5

Kates PoV
It took her a while to find a nice song. She noticed that he was kinda starring at her, but Beckett decided to say nothing. I mean I said not 'no' to his dance offer, he has hopes... Well I mean we did it before and it's not like we would cuddle or something... It's just two nearly drunk partners celebrating their lives. The song "Alive" from krewella started playing and she decided that this one is the one. She turned around to Castle just to find him near by her and looking her straight in the eyes.
"So?  What ya think?"
"Fits perfectly." he said and put the volume up.
He went back to the centre of the room and started dancing. You call this dancing? It's more like making some weird moves but alright... Beckett thought but didn't say it 'cause she felt like he would stop and she didn't want that. She liked the view.
She watched him 'dancing' for a while and sometimes she smiled and when he noticed it, he made even weirder moves to make her laugh. "Join me, Detective, c'mon it's great." he said breathless. "Oh I see that, Castle." she said smiling. She also went around the bar, but wasn't really sure if she should do that. What could happen Beckett? That I lose my authority.... That could happen, but I think I...
"Beckett, stop thinking about it! Just do it!" he interrupted her thoughts just like he could read them. "I don't know Castle, I am no teenage girl who jumps to songs from boybands, you know..." "Were you such a teen, Detective?" he asked curious. "Oh Castle as if I would tell you about that." Beckett smiled teaslingly.
She made herself another shot, drank it and looked at Castle: "Ok, ok. Seems like you have a lot of fun doin' whatever ya doin'."
"We could have more fun together, Detective" he said offering her his hand. She took it and he made her come near him. She felt safe, her hand in his. To feel his soft, warm skin made her feel... what is she even feeling? Safety? Before she could think about it more he let go of her hand and Beckett felt... What did she felt? ... Was it disappointment? He is confusing her with his actions...
Why would I be disappointed about that?? Her attention switched back to Castle who started doing his weird moves again and she shyly joined him. The song ended and now "Animals" from Martin Garrix followed. After a while they were both jumping around and laughing. Beckett felt relaxed even though her heart was beating quick. They were sweating when Beckett finally said: "Ok... Ok time out please." Castle nodded, went to the bar and made them another drink. They drank at the same time and Castle said: "See, that was so much fun." Beckett has to agree with him: "Yeah it was, but when I'm  home I soo need a shower." Castle looked at her with an undefined look and somehow it made her blush. She looked at the floor hoping he wouldn't notice. God Kate, what's the matter? What's wrong with you? She felt that the alcohol did his job and ouh shit she was kinda drunk... Hopefully I do nothing what I will regret in the morning...
They sat there in silence a while, each sunk in their own thoughts. The next song which started playing was "All of me" by John Legend and there she noticed that he was looking at her like a toddler would look at a puppy. She still felt really relaxed, was it the alcohol or was it Castle? She didn't know but Kate decided to look at her partner, her... friend. And when she looked he offered her his hand again, looking at her like it would break his heart if she would decide the wrong thing and asked: "May I have this dance?"

Sooo my friends and readers here is a new update, ik it's been a while, plz don't be mad at me, I was pretty busy with reading fanfics and I forgot that I have my own😂 I  hope u enjoyed this chapter just like I did... Let's see what happens next💛
