Ricks POV
"Kiss who?"
Alexis asked and Rick let out a little surprised scream. "Pumpkin! Whatcha doin' here? It's late at night. Don't ya have school tomow?"
Alexis made an innocent face: "I heard some weird noises and thought I should look from where they came. Guess it was you... soo now now tell me Dad: Kiss who?"

Castle tried to be cool and he also tried to seem sober but he failed: "Uh Nobody... Well Imma give you a g'night kiss and you go back to bed agreed?" His daughter shook her haid and her long red hair flew around her face. "Why are you awake? Were you out again with Esposito and Ryan?" she asked and Castle replied: "Noouu, I was out with Ka-Beckett. We went to the Old Haunt 'n stuff." Alexis eyes widened in surprise: "You were out with Detective Beckett? Like a date? Dad!" Before Alexis could talk any further he stopped her: "Nouu no Date. Justa celebration of life. Y' know we survived the bomb."

"But you guys did what? Just drink?" she asked interested. Castle shook his head: "Non of your business young lady, wanna have some pizza? Sh- should be here any minute." "No thanks Dad. Oh and by the way I am old enough. You don't have to treat me like a child." She gave him a Good night kiss and went back upstairs before Castle could react to her kind of rude answer. Right in the moment where his daughter dissappeared the doorbell rang. "Pizza's there!" he said to the room and went to pick up the food.

While he was eating, he thought back to the conversation with his daughter. She immediately thought it was a date... Is it this obvious? That I like her? But if even my daughter knows, how can Beckett not? Or maybe she does, but she doesn't give a damn about it. Yeah probably this. Kate's a workaholic, but I think if she would have the slightest interest in me, she would have told me. I mean she is an honest person and we don't even have to be in an relationship if she doesn't want to. We could really just date 'n stuff...

I can wait until she is ready. But... What if she never is? I can't wait forever... Maybe I can wait for like 1 year from now and then tell her what I think and then we' ll see... Yeah sounds... like a plan. Imma do that. Happy about his new plan Rick ate the whole Pizza while watching some stupid TV shows he wasn't interested at first but Rick found a good one  and he would have loved to continue watching this show but he felt overly tired. Probably because of the alcohol he drank. If he wanted to be up tomorrow and help in an possibly new case he had to sleep now. So Castle turned the TV out and went to bed. It just took him a few seconds to fall asleep.
