Taehyung and Jungkook have been best friends since forever! They're each others comfortzone, go to person but mostly they're what you call home to each other. There isn't even a moment where they can go without thinking about the other. You would call them lovers but to them? "nah.. we're just best friends!"
Taehyung and Jungkook both are 21, both go to the same university, they practically live together and it wouldn't be shocking if I said they both belong to the same friend circle, except for jungkook who has couple of other friends as well. Everyone in their group know that taekook are best friends and that they're each others priority. The whole university knew that they lived together but they thought its just their parents demands.
Taehyung is what you'd call a cool and kind person. He's the definition of ethereal beauty. He'll always be there to help you once you earn his trust. He's smart, funny and sassy as fuck! He doesn't hesitate to speak up his mind and could kill with his eyes. People sometimes try to take advantage of his kindness but they don't know, he's anything but naive! No one knows tae and jungkook are best friends. No matter how much jungkook pursuades him to be with him during lunch time he rejects him saying, "some other time."
Jungkook on the other hand comes of as a rude and extremely you-better-not-mess-with-me kinda person. He's over-possessive when it comes to Taehyung. He's the definition of hot and cold. Everyone in university, especially girls.. want to befriend him and they definitely don't want to be just friends with him. What they don't know is that jungkook is way smarter for their tactics and stupidity. Many have noticed jungkook trying to talk to taehyung in university and they've also seen how taehyung just walks away.
They both are very vocal with their thoughts towards each other. If there's anything bothering them, they won't hesitate to share it with each other, even if they know it'll hurt the other they don't hide it, they basically made this rule when they were younger itself "No secrets."
*Flashback*
It was in 7th grade after they came back from school, both of them had decided to hangout at jungkooks house.
"tae? You're coming home right?"
"of course kookie" tae said giggling as he pecked kookies cheeks, not before kookie returned it and left.
On the way to kookies home, tae saw a boy who looked little smaller than him crying on the side of the road. Without giving it any thought he approached the boy and then they both went to a nearby park. Though tae knew he had plans with kookie, he just couldn't leave the crying boy alone.
"what's your name? Why are you crying?" tae asked sweetly.
"My name is jimin...my brother broke my car..my best friend gifted me." jimin said still crying bitterly
"car? You're like an ant how can you have a car?" hearing that, a smile broke on jimins face.
"you're stupid. What's your age?" jimin asked looking at the ground.
"13 years, why? What's your age?" tae asked.
"me too" jimin said, finally as his smile reached his eyes.
Both didn't even realise how long they've been sitting in the park laughing and making fun of each other. On the other hand, Jungkook was worried that tae didn't show up. It had been over 3 hours and there was no sign of tae. He called up taes mom only to know that, tae had left long back for his place. Jungkook being jungkook left his house immediately and decided to go to taes place in case he shows up.
On the way to taes house as he's crossing the same park, he notices his best friend tae and happily makes his way towards him only to see him sitting him a small boy jungkook didn't know.
"tae?" Jungkook calls out softly and tae turns only to see a sad kookie standing a few feet away from him.
"kookie.." tae was lost for words he couldn't lie and say he forgot or make up any other excuse.
"You got a new friend? You don't need me now? Am I not your friend anymore?" kookie asked sadly which tae feel more bad.
"no kookie.. You're my best friend, I can never forget you." tae said, "but you forgot me because of him.. Your new best friend." kookie said as he started getting angry.
"kookie.." but before tae could say anything, kookie had pushed jimin on the ground which left him crying again and went away.
After that the whole week was so difficult for both of them. Both didn't talk to each other. Both were angry and both wanted to shout at each other for hurting the other. Their mom's noticed this and decided to make them solve this issue.
After one whole week when both their mothers forced them to talk, they soon made up while crying and hugging each other and promised that they'll never fight and hide things from the other.
*end of flashback*
Both were back home from university, Jungkook was taking a nap whereas tae was practicing the piano in his room. Yes even though they lived together they had separate rooms. Their apartment wasn't just a normal 2BHK but it was a penthouse. Both their parents were pretty rich and even agreed on buying them their own apartments but since tae and kookie decided to live together, their parents settled on getting them a penthouse that was just 15 min away from their university.
After tae finished practicing his piano he went to the kitchen to cook something for himself when he was stopped by two arms wrapped around his waist. He smiled as jungkook rested his head on his shoulder, "why didn't you wake me up when you were practicing the piano" Jungkook asked, to which tae just shrugged. "I'm going to make something to eat for myself, do you want anything kookie?" tae asked and jungkook just nodded.
Tae noticed something seemed off with Jungkook but he didn't push it because he knew why jungkook was being like that. After they ate well jungkook was sitting on the couch busy on his phone scrolling through Instagram when tae came and sat on lap and rested his head on kookies shoulder. "I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to be rude to you in uni but you know why I don't want people to know about our friendship." tae said in a soft voice. "why tae.. Its the past.. And I'm your best friend, you're my priority, you know that." kookie reasoned, to which tae just pecked his cheeks and they both just stayed that way.
