Tomorrow came and tae was literally just avoiding jungkook. He didn't even wait for breakfast when jungkook texted tae, he just gave a dry reply. Jungkook thought maybe he's just feeling a little off today so he let it be.

Tae was behaving absolutely off, anyone who would try to talk to tae could clearly feel it. People had started observing jungkook and tae from the past few days but that didn't bother tae anymore. If it was any other condition he probably would've lashed out on jungkook for talking to him in public or trying to hold his hand subtly which was not very subtle. But right now tae was trying to avoid his feelings, not even realising that he may unintentionally hurt jungkook too. He didn't want to lose his best friend for feelings so he thought it's better if I lose these feelings instead.

When it was time for lunch break and tae entered the cafeteria he already saw jungkook sitting and sipping on his cola. He wanted to turn back and go but he didn't because he didn't want to be that obvious. Damn when will jungkook learn to not bunk classes?

"hi koo" tae said and sat across him, looking everywhere else but not jungkook.

"hi bub.. Are you looking for someone?" jungkook asked noticing how tae was looking around.

Then jungkook leaned forward and whispered in taes ear smirking

"the only one you should be looking for is me." Jungkook said and slid down to his seat.

Tae was looking at him with wide eyes.

What the hell just happened? Damn that was so close.. Fuck fuck fuck!!

"wha..tt?" tae said but was cut off when jenny came in.

Tae turned his head in her direction but jungkook was still looking at him not bothering about another presence. This made jenny irritated.

"jungkook I'm here." jenny said and tae was feeling suddenly out of place. He knew jungkook and she weren't together yet but he still didn't like this feeling. Feeling of jealousy.

"oh hi didn't see you there." Jungkook said and tae smiled a little.

"were you thinking about me?" jenny said which made tae realise how much of a stupid woman she is. He was honestly wondering why was he even getting jealous of her. It made him feel better because he felt like, even if Jungkook likes her, he would never be in a relationship with her. And without realising he opened his mouth

"what a delulu" tae said and took a bite from his sandwich and soon realised what he said and gulped the sandwich looking at jungkook who was trying to hold his laugh.

"anyway, we're having a movie night right?" jenny said winking which made tae laugh. Honestly he didn't know if she was winking or sleeping.

"why are you laughing like that. You look like a clown." jenny laughed and looked at jungkook who was not so happy.

" jenny.. apologise to him" jungkook said sternly and tae looked at him. How could he ever stop his feelings for jungkook when jungkook always protects him like this, tae thought.

"oh...I'm sorry.. I'm sorry taehyung." jenny said. She wanted to be what taehyung was to jungkook. And she wanted to be so bad. She wanted to replace tae for herself in jungkooks life. But little did she know that would never happen even if she kept trying.

" we'll see you at our place then.." jungkook spoke but was cut off by tae.

"actually I'm having some work with jimin today so I may not be able to join. You guys can spend time together." tae lied and jungkook just stared at him.

"oh don't worry. I'll surely take care of jungkook." she said and jungkook clearly didn't care. He wanted tae to be there.

After sometime they left to go home. Jungkook was holding taes hand while walking which made tae happy but he didn't show it. "don't go to jimins" jungkook said softly. "but koo... Don't you think it'll be better to spend alone time with your crush?" tae said. "but I need you for that." Jungkook said but tae was too dense to understand the meaning of it.

"koo.. Stop being like that." tae said, I don't want to be there because I can't see you with her koo, he thought to himself.

"if jimin is busy then I'll stay otherwise I'm going." tae said and took out his phone to call jimin.

"hello chim?"

"hi tae.. Wassup?"

"chim, you're free right? Did you forget we were going to hangout?"

"wait.. Whatt? We were..? I didn't know..."

"oh god jimin, how can you forget?"
Tae was literally trying to put words in jimins mouth hoping for him to understand but it wasn't happening.

"I'm sorry tae. If I had known I wouldn't have made plans with yoongi. But do you want to join us?" and with that tae cut the call and sighed.

"looks like I'm thirdwheeling you and jenny today" tae said sadly.

"you aren't" jungkook said happily.

Once they reached home, both freshened up and were eating packed foods since both of them were lazy to cook anything right now. There was still time, more 2 hours to go until jenny would show up so tae decided to go and take a nap.

"tae.. Can we cuddle? I'm tired." Jungkook said and even though tae wanted to say no, he couldn't deny the fact that he to wanted to cuddle and so he just nodded. Both went to taes room and laid down on the bed. Jungkook wrapped his arms around taes waist and pulled him closer so that tae was resting his head in the crook of jungkooks neck. Jungkook and tae both were happy.

"sleep baby...i know you're tired." Jungkook said and kissed taes forehead, tae just hummed. He loved the feeling of being in jungkooks arms, hearing sweet words and getting soft kisses.

Tae didn't fall asleep after all. He heard jungkooks study snores and was happy to be so close to him. He started wondering, many things were going on in his mind right. Then he smiled and placed a soft kiss on jungkooks neck.

"maybe I shouldn't try avoiding my feelings afterall."
