Everything had seemed to come to normal between tae and jungkook. Tae no longer held himself responsible for the hurt he felt, he remembered jimins words telling him to act mature and not blame himself or kookie for anything. Feelings are something you can't control and tae accepted it. Jungkook too stopped hurting himself with his thoughts, when yoongi who doesn't speak much just told him one thing- as long as you accept your mistake and you're guilty for it, it's fine. Dwelling on your mistakes won't make them go away so it's better you move on from it and start anew.

Things were not as perfect and jolly like before. It's never easy to be just friends with someone you have romantic feelings for. But they were trying and it was enough for both of them, after all no one was ready to let go of their years of friendship.

"kookie...I'm..going to the store. Do you want anything?" tae asked

"no bub" kookie said busy looking in his phone when he realised what he said he quickly looked at tae who was shocked as him.

"I.. I mean.." Jungkook stuttered

"it's okay kookie.. If I can still call you kookie, you can call me whatever you want." tae said smiling

God.. He's so cute!! I want to kiss his cheeks

"okay kookie...I'm leaving then" tae said as he turned he couldn't stop smiling. He liked how kookie called him bub. Like everything was back to how it was and it made his heart flutter.

"wait tae.." Jungkook said and quickly went behind tae before he could step outside. Tae turned and saw jungkook standing right behind him and jungkook didn't waste a minute and quickly pecked his left cheek which made tae smile.

Should I kiss him back? What if he asks. But if he asks I can say that I just returned his kiss. Why am I thinking so much! Someone bang my head on the wall please.

Tae stepped forward closer to jungkook and pecked his cheek smiling which made jungkook happy.
Tae quickly opened the door and left not wanting jungkook to see his flustered state.

Once tae reached the store, he rummaged through the shelves to find his and kooks favourite ramen. He was smiling at the thought of kookie and how they kissed today like everything will be okay. Not realising he bumped into a lady earning a death glare from here.

God! I just dropped her tissues box. She's looking at me like she saw me stealing her kidney. He thought

Tae quickly paid for the things he brought and was on his way home. When he bumped into someone again.

"oh god! Not again" tae said loudly but this time his things fell on the ground.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't looking" the man said

"then you better get glasses if you can't look" tae said annoyed

"hey.. I'm sorry. You don't have to be so rude" the man said

"whatever" tae said and rolled his eyes

"I can help you carry them" the stranger offered

"it's okay.. I can carry them" tae said finally calming down a bit

"no I insist" the stranger said scratching the back of his neck

"weren't you on your way for something stranger" tae said trying to not sound rude.

"well I was just going to get milk" the stranger said and took all the bags from tae and started walking

"by the way.. I'm reece"
