" Tae... I think I like...."

Taes heart was beating fast, his breathe hitched, his mind went blank, he felt something he never felt before, he wanted to pull jungkook into a tight hug, his body ached for it.

"jenny" jungkook said slowly

And there it was, his first heartbreak, the truth sitting right in front of him. Tears automatically pooled in his eyes but he didn't let them fall. He couldn't. He wanted to run away from there. How could he do this to himself? How could he misunderstand his best friends affection for something other than friendship? How could he get his hopes this high only for it to come crashing down? How?

"tae.. You had to say something to me." Jungkook said but tae faked a smile

"doesn't matter now, does it?" he said looking away from jungkook and quickly got up.

"don't wanna get late for class jungkook" tae said and rushed outside.

"jungkook?" jungkook repeated when tae left and he knew something was definitely wrong.

As tae rushed out he ran and ran until he was outside the University gates, he didn't even tell jungkook or anyone else where he was going. He didn't know where to go, he needed his best friend right now but he couldn't go to him for comfort. And so he made his way to Jimin's place. Jimin was still at uni so he decided to wait for him at his place.

Jimin's mom welcomed him and as tae requested she didn't tell jimin that taes home. After almost 3 hours jimin was home and on his way to his room.  When jimin entered his room he saw tae sleeping on his bed and went to wake him up. As much as he wanted to let tae sleep, he couldn't, not when he, Yoongi and jungkook were going crazy trying to call him.

Tae woke up groggily and reality hit him. Everything that happened in the previous 4 to 5 hours came to his mind and he just broke down. Jimin quickly ran and hugged tae.

"shh tae, calm down.. Stop crying please!" jimin was trying his best to control tae but tae was too broken to hear. It was his first love and before he could experience it only he got his first heartbreak. It was saddening. How would you or anyone feel if y'all would have to go through something like this? Jungkook is his best friend, his soulmate, his life, someone who's grown up and grown with.

"I'm calling jungkook" jimin said and tae snatched away his phone.

"don't call him or tell him please. I don't want him to know I'm here." tae said wiping his tears.

"did you both have a fight? You know it tae y'all will be talking by tomorrow, don't worry." jimin said.

"chim.. Can I tell you something?" tae said, he really wanted to get it off his chest. He wanted someone to listen to his heart.

"yes tae..tell me.. You don't have to ask." jimin assured him.

"I.. I.. like someone.." tae said hoping for jimin to say something so it gets easy for him to talk.

"Ohh.. Is that why you're like this? Who is he?" jimin asked concerned.

"it's.... Its.." tae couldn't bring himself to tell the name.

"it's jungkook isn't it?" jimin said and tae softly nodded more tears falling out.

"I was.. I was..going to tell...h-he..told me he likes... Jenny..Chim." tae sobbed into jimins chest. And jimin didn't know what to say he just hugged his friend tight

He always thought tae and jungkook both had feelings for each other. He always thought jungkook would be the first one to confess but this really was something else! Or maybe there was some misunderstanding.
