Jack Gilinsky POV:
I wake up to the feeling of my phone vibrating in my hand, I must've passed out while I was using it. The TV is on and the ball drop is playing, well, what's left of it anyways.
I look over to my alarm clock and it's two hours past midnight. I was supposed to watch the ball drop on TV with Jack but I don't know where he is.
The number on my screen reads Jack, I immediately answer it worried of why he's calling so late.
"Jack?" He says quietly.
"Yes? What's wrong?" I say sitting up in my bed.
"You need to go to the hospital, it's Isabel.. She's hurt."
"Wait what's going on?" I ask jumping out of bed and putting my shoes on.
"Just meet me at the hospital, I'll explain everything." He hangs up without saying goodbye.
I rush downstairs to grab my keys and drive to the hospital.
I run into the hospital waiting area and walk up to the lady that sits at the front desk.
"Hi I-I have someone I need to see.." I say frantically, I've never had to do something like this before I don't know what to say.
"Are you here to see a patient?" The lady says with annoyance in her voice.
"Y-Yes."
"What's the patient's name?" She asks pulling her keyboard out on a slide from under the computer.
"Jack!" I hear someone call from behind me.
I turn to see where it's coming from, it's Jack sitting in the waiting room with Nicole and Charlie.
I turn back to the lady,
"Nevermind.."
I walk over to Jack and sit next to him.
"Hey.." He says putting his arm around me pulling me into a hug.
"Hi, so what's going on?"
"Well the three of us went to a party for New Year's Eve and to sum things up after the ball dropped Isabel fell from this bridge that overlooks the house and we think she was pushed." Jack says quickly.
"Well do you know who pushed her?"
"No.."
"Did any of you see Isabel before she fell?" I ask.
"I did.." Jack says hesitantly.
"Where was she?"
"On the bridge I'm pretty sure she was up there for the entire party."
"What were you doing up there?"
"Well I-I was with-" Jack gets cut off by a doctor approaching us.
"Hello are you guys here for Isabel?" He asks.
"Yes." We all say in unison.
"Well she's stable but at the moment we can only take one visitor back."
"Me." I stand up.
"Ok I'll take you to her room." He says walking towards a door.
"I'll catch up with you guys later.." I say following the doctor.
We walk down several hallways before we finally get to Isabel's room.
"This is it. She's awake but don't overwhelm her with questions ok?"
"Ok." I open the door and walk in, the doctor closes the door for me.
"Jack.." She says quietly.
"Hey."
"Sit, I need to tell you what happened.." She says gesturing towards a seat.
I sit and she immediately starts explaining.
"I was standing on that bridge looking at the people dancing below and I had a drink in my hand-"
"Woah, woah, woah.. A drink? What about the baby?!" I say getting angry instantly.
"About that.. I have something I need to tell you."
"Oh my god.. You were lying?!" I stand up pushing my chair back so it hits the wall loudly.
"Jack.. Calm down." She chokes out.
"No! You faked a pregnancy! You're insane! How many times are you gonna try to split me and Jack apart before you realize that you can't do it!"
"I don't have to! He's done it all on his own.."
"What are you talking about now?" I say annoyed heading for the door.
"The last thing I remember from that party is Jack and some boy he had with him.." She smirks.
"Oh get a life!" I slam the door and walk back down to the waiting room.
