Three -> Olivia Parks
I walked with Maria, greeting the small amount of people I knew, until I saw Mr. Harbor, and close business partner with my dad.
"Olivia." He smiled walking up to me.
"Hello Mr. Harbor." I smiled.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Harbor." Maria waved.
"How have you been, Olivia?" He asked, ignoring Maria. Maria looked down, obviously offended my his ignorance towards her. I glared at him.
"So, Maria, as I was saying." I turned to her. She looked at me confused as did Mr. Harbor.
"Excuse me, miss Parks." Mr. Harbor frowned. "I was talking to you."
"It's not fun being ignored, is it?" I asked as he shook his head. "Then apologize for ignoring my friend."
"I refuse to talk to my workers." He spat, glaring at Maria as I scoffed.
"She doesn't work for you." I exclaimed. "She is an intern."
"Still doesn't change what I think." He groaned.
"And I think a fancy wine should be shoved in your face." I spat.
I was always a well behaved person at these things but, with Maria I can't help but be overprotective. Maria is strong on the outside, but on the inside she is as week as I new born baby during and earthquake.
"Dad." I heard a voice shout from behind me. "Have you taken your medication?"
"I don't need medication." Mr. Harbor grumbled. The boy walked up to us and looked at his dad, before cocking his head to the side slightly. Mr. Harbor sighed loudly before walking away.
"I'm sorry about my father." The boy gave us a light smile. "I'm Joey."
Joey was tall and slim. He had black curly hair and a pair of glasses over hive green eyes. He was dressed in a suit, along with everyone else, but he was not wearing a tie. He had a crooked smile and freckles scattered along his cheeks.
"Olivia, and this is my best friend Maria." I looked at Maria and saw she was staring at Joey. Her eyes were wide and her mouth slightly a gape.
"Hello Maria." Joey smiled.
"Hi, Joey." Maria blushed.
"Why haven't I seen you around?" I asked him.
"I was away at a boarding school for the last four years, father thought it was time to come back." He explained. I nodded.
"I need to go see my father, Maria will you stay here and talk to Joey?" I asked her and she slowly nodded. I walked away and over to my dad who was smiling with my mom.
"Hello darling." My mom smiled.
"Hi mom." I hugged her.
"I see you met Joey Harbor." My dad nodded to Joey, who was handing Maria a drink.
"Yes." I nodded.
"Do you like him?" My dad asked.
"He seems nice." I nodded.
"Wonderful." My dad whispered.
"Excuse me?" I asked. 'Wonderful'? What was that supposed to mean?
"Never mind." My dad smiled.
"Okay..." I looked unsure at my mom who was glaring at the back of my dads head while he smiled at me. I knew he was hiding something but I also knew if I tried confronting him we would get in a fight and embarrass each other.
"Have you met my business partner, Mr. West?" My dad asked, putting his arm around a short man with a grey beard and bald head.
"I don't believe I have. Hello, Mr. West." I smiled politely, shanking the mans hand.
"Hello Olivia." Mr. West smiled. "Are you enjoying the party?"
"Yes, are you?" I asked with a smile.
"Yes thank you." He smiled, laughing a little.
