Ivy sang along to David Guetta's - Hey Mama not caring if Dominic was in fits of laughter beside her as he nodded his head to the beat. 'I looove this song.' She slurred, clapping her hands excitedly as they neared the noisy street with kids seated on the sidewalk.
'Are you sure about this?' Dominic asked hesitantly regretting offering Ivy the alcohol in the first place.
'Of course I am as long as we avoid Tony in case he is here.' Dominic sighed parking the car further down the road away from any drunkards who might want to do some vandalism.
'Last time we weren't so lucky.' He pointed out remembering the black eye and broken rib he had to nurse.
'Sorry about that. You can just leave me here then. I don't want you getting in trouble.' Dominic's eyes widened in surprise.
'You kidding right? No way am I leaving you at a party when you are already drunk. Do you even know what address this is?' Ivy gave him a confused look scratching her head.
'Ah- Owen's place?' She asked unsure. Dominic gave her a humourless laugh.
'That's it. I'm taking you back home. I love you like this but no way am I releasing you to the vultures.' He sternly said starting the engine again. Ivy panicked and opened the passenger door, running out before Dominic had a chance to stop her.
'Damn it!' He cursed banging the steering wheel before getting out. 'Ivy! Wait!'
Ivy didn't stop as she ran towards Owen Erland's house. He was Alice Walker's ex and the minute Dominic had mentioned there was a party at his house she decided to drop by, the image of her and Henry together stuck in her head. She wanted to see if they were really dating and knew she wouldn't sleep through out the weekend if she didn't know what was happening between them or else she would go crazy with jealously.
The house was crowded with more people than the outside and she had to push her way through a bunch of drunkards to get to the kitchen where she would continue her search. She hadn't seen him out there so that meant he was probably in the house or upstairs. She shuddered at the thought of him being up there. No! He wouldn't be fucking her already! Adrenaline pumped in her blood mixed with alcohol made her hasten her search through the kitchen then the living room turned dance floor. He was in neither of the places and even though she didn't know what to tell him when she finally saw him, knowing that he wasn't with Alice would give her peace of mind.
She was almost walking out of the large room before she spotted a chunk of red hair at the far corner she was sure belonged to Alice. She always stood out and in this instance it was no exception as she chatted with a bunch of girls occasionally sipping from her red cup but Henry was no where to be seen. She made sure to check every parameter of her surrounding but his blond hair and tall frame were nowhere to be seen. She sighed in relief. Maybe he didn't come to the party and she had wasted all that time worrying for nothing.
Ivy mindless walk brought her to the backyard where she could see couples making out and a bunch of guys smoking. She double checked the smokers making sure her brother was not there before walking to the yard.
'Shit!' She cursed as her phone blasted 'bottoms up' and she blushed furiously noticing some people, despite how dimly lit it was, had turned to look at her. Even in a drunk state she still couldn't fight off her shyness.
'You crazy girl! Where the fuck are you!' Dominic shouted over the phone making Ivy cling at the static.
'Out in the backyard.' She responded calmly and was sure Dominic would appear any minute looking for her so she moved further to the wall trying to stay away from the light as much as possible. She didn't want to leave until she saw Henry.
