You, a human Pearl. Serving the new Pink Diamond. Along with his stupidly wild mood swings, anger issues and generally being a little asshole, what could go wrong?
It was morning, the rays of light streaming through the huge window. Groaning quietly, you blinked looking up. A breath tickled your neck. Turning over you saw Steven?! Trying to wiggle out of the bed, you glanced down at his right grasp into your waist. Your breaths came shallow, attempting to get out of his arms. "nononono.." You whisper shouted to yourself which made Steven stir. Scolding yourself mentally, you popped out of his tight hug and backed away. Unfortunately, turning around you saw Yellow Diamonds pearl are the door. She cleared her throat, narrowing her eyes at you. Burning up, you waved. "Hello.."
She waved back, before gesturing you to come outside with her. Following, you shut the door behind you quietly. "Yes?" you asked. "My pearl?" A muffled voice called out from the other side of the door. You stood still, quietly hoping that he wouldn't try and look for you. You could hear shuffling then a thud and a groan of pain. Biting your lip, you urged for Yellow to go on. "Yellow had asked me to send a message your way." You nodded, glancing at the door, resisting the temptation of making sure Steven was ok. "If I (Yellow Diamond) see you sleeping with your diamond once more, you will suffer the consequences."
She dipped her head, before walking off. A shiver went down your spine along with the pain of your gem washing over you, Feeling more fearful then ever. The door swung open, Steven looking down at you. "What are you doing out here, more importantly, who were you talking to?" He growled. You sheepishly chuckled, glancing anywhere but his eyes. "Well, Yellow Pearl was just talking to me... about something." You failed to make up an excuse on the spot. Nervously laughing, you let yourself in. "Why were you talking with her?" He growled, crossing his arms. "I- uh, she asked to speak with me?" You shrugged, pulling out your notepad.
"Would you like me to list your tasks for today Steven?" You asked, tapping the page while looking up at him.
"No, do not call me Steven." He demanded.
"But, I thought-" You were about to protest but he cut you off.
"I don't care what you thought! I am your diamond, understood?!" He snarled, glaring at you.
"Y-Yes, my diamond. For today, you seem to be behind the updates for Beta Kindergarten, R-21. We can go over the progress later. At 2 o'clock you have a meeting with the leader of the colony. She seems to be asking for supplies." You finished, closing your notes. He sighed heavily, pinching his nose. "All right. Let's go over the kindergartens progress." You nodded and made your way to his desk. He hopped into the chair. You stood by his side, thinking. So it went on, Steven working and looking bored while you were stuck in your thoughts. Glancing up at the clock, you saw it was 1:40.
Facing Steven, you tapped his arm. "My diamond?" He hummed, looking down at you. "What is it?" He asked annoyed. "Its time for the meeting." You started, backing off. He nodded, getting up. Following behind, you bit your lip anxiously, the throbbing pain of your gem growing. Before you could process what was happening, you wobbled and fell to the floor behind Steven. Blinking slowly, trying to get rid of the black spots appearing. Steven turned around, calling our name out but it was muffled. "Y/n?!"
