Chapter 7: College Ally

Hey back again with another chapter. Sorry I have been having some writer's block and was stuck. Now, that it's over I present to another chapter. Ok, let's get into this, shall we?

I wake up feeling weird after having that dream. It was nice to see my parents, but I did not expect a lecture. You see readers I know I am a monster and am fully aware, that I am not the most likable character you may have come across. I really like my carnage and fighting is so fun form me because it is a reminder to the CCG that the flame of hatred I have for them has never dwindled. I really do hate humans, but I told mom that I would give them a chance.

Looking at my phone I see it is 9:30, wow I really slept in, didn't I? I get dressed putting on a my hero academia shirt with blue shorts and a blue sweatshirt. I fix my hair and put on my glasses making my way downstairs. The first thing that I see is suitcases near the door and I figure it must by Hayden's stuff because he is going to Harvard today.

"Good morning everyone," I say in a tired voice. I grab a flesh pancake and sit at the table.

"Good morning Jack. You excited to start college today?"

"No, not really Hayden. I am going to have to put up with humans most of the day."

"What is your major again?"

"My major is administration of justice or AOJ (My actual major right now) for short. When do you have to get going, bro?"

"My classes do not start for another week, but the college wants us to be there a week earlier to sort out dorms. I will be leaving in about twenty minutes. So who are your teachers?"

To be honest I did not really care about who my teachers were. They were just walking blood bags to me and could be disposed of at any time I like.

"Oh wow looks like you have one of Kaneki's friends as a teacher for your ghoul biology class Mr. Hideyoshi Nagachika.

"I don't remmeber anyone like that." I met a lot of people that knew my parents. The issue is that I can not remember them all. "Oh you mean Hide, yea I recall Kaneki saying I would see him there."

About twenty minutes later Hayden had to leave for Harvard and we said our goodbyes. As I watch him drive off I can't help but feel alone again. I mean we have each other's numbers, but now I have to make more friends. Human friends to make it worse.

Looking at the time I get ready for my first class and walk to the college since it was close. I get to the college and the first thing I see is a building that says student union. I think it should have said cafeteria because I can smell everyone in the building as soon as I walk in. I look at my schedule and I see the first class I have is my ghoul biology with Mr. Hide. I walk to the building and wait outside with the other students because we are waiting for the teacher.

"Hi there, my name is Damien," said a human standing in front of my and he extended his hand. The human was tall and had tan skin. He had straight teeth and black hair. I extend my hand in return.

"Jack Daniels, you know as in drink." I made sure to use a different last name. The last thing I need is to be traced back to my parents and all that. My goal is to try and fit it as much as possible.

"Nice to meet you, Jack. So, what is your major?"

"AOJ how about you?"

"What a coincidence that is my major to. Well, now we have something in common."

I give him a nod and Mr. Hide walks up to the room. He recognized me from the party we had in Japan before I left. Crazy to think in that short time he is here teaching in the U.S. Walking into the class we take our seats and the teacher begins.

"Hello class my name is Hideyoshi Nagachika, but you all can me Mr. Hide. I will be your Ghoul Biology teacher."

A girl raised her hand.

"Mr. Hide why do you have your mouth covered with a mask?"

"When I was in my twenties I was in an accident that caused damage to my face leaving a huge scar. I prefer to cover my face because of it. Now, let's start class all we?"

I didn't really pay attention because I was not really feeling it today. I only had this one class today after all. I was daydreaming and I guess Hide noticed cause I heard him call my name.

"Mr. Danals would you please tell us why the CCG use quinques instead of normal weapons? We just went over it so I am sure you can tell us."

"As was stated, a ghouls skin is super tough causing normal weapons like knives to break upon contact with their skin. To combat this the CCG uses instruments of death called quinqes. Quinque emits electrical signals that stimulate the kakuhou to release and control it. They can be made into some type of melee or ranged weapon, but most retain a few characteristics from the original. In contrast to kagune, quinque cannot change shape nor store or absorb other than what was harvested from the ghoul it was made from (Tokyo Ghoul Famdom)."

Hide was not surprised because he knew I was part ghoul. He probably was making sure I was actually awake. He continues with his lecture and the human from earlier named Damien started talking to me. We were in the back so we would not get caught.

"Jack, how did you know all that? I mean you went into detail about things that have not been covered yet."

"Well, I thought everyone knew that. Plus I like to do research about the CCG in my spare time," I said.

"You plan on joining the CCG after you get your degree? I mean that's why I am in college. If you get your college degree you do not have to go to the academy and that takes forever to do."

"I thought your major was AOJ?"

"Oh, it is I am doing a double major. The first degree is AOJ and the other is in ghoul science. It means a lot of classes. but I know I can do it."

I was about to respond when Mr. Hide said class was over and that he wanted to talk to me. Before heading to his next class Damian gave me his snap so we could chat. After the class leaves, I walk up to Hide's desk.

"Funny to see you teaching here Hide considering just a couple days ago I saw you at the party in Japan."

"Well I was planning to teach at the university I went to as a student, but when I found out you were attending school here I decided to come to the states. I figured you could use a human ally here and if you were absent for business I would understand."

"Thank you Hide I appetite it. Well, I am going to head home, have a good day with your other classes."

"You have a good day to Vampire King."

I bring out my fangs and smile and bow to him. Walking home I can sense that I am being followed. I can tell by the small that it was a ghoul and a powerful one at that. I walk into a nearby ally way where it was dark. It was still day time and if I am going to shed a little blood I need to be hidden from public view. Once in the ally way, I decide to confront whoever was tailing me.

"You can come out now. I know you have been following me." Still nothing it is almost like they are waiting for me to make a move. "I said come out. If I have to force you out you won't like it." I activate my ghoul eyes and fangs. Suddenly a silhouette drops from the roof and starts walking toward me.

"Jack Williams, my name is Mayonaka Yoshimura. I am the current leader of Aogiri. I think we should talk if you do not mind. I have a proposition for you that you would be interested in."
