The V+ Rated Ghoul (Book 2)

Chapter 9: New Investigator's

Hey humans Vampire Lord is back! I have had a lot of writer's block while writing this story and is why I am taking longer to update, so I apologize. I hope you all have liked the story so far. This chapter takes place a couple of days after chapter 8. Ok, let's get into the chapter, shall we?

Elana's Pov

Since becoming an investigator I have been feeling a lot better mentally. I am hunting ghouls and making the world a better place slaying those monsters. I look at my phone and see it is time for me to get ready for work so putting my white coat and grabbing my suitcase I head out. Arriving at work I walk into the building and go to my work station and start working on reports. I was looking at files on the Vampiric Demon Ghoul King when I was interrupted by someone talking to me sitting next to me.

     "What you working on Andrews?"

It was second class investigator Miller. He joined the CCG the same time I did and he seemed friendly.

     "I am looking at files about The Vampiric Demon Ghoul King."

     "Oh, that again. I don't know why you obsess about that one. He is rarely seen and when he is he leaves no survivors."

"If that was the case then there would be no stories Miller."

"Have you gotten assigned a partner yet Andrews?"

Since joining the CCG the ghouls I have killed are ghouls other investigators did not finish on the field. I am still waiting on being assigned a partner and when I do I can really start my work. "No, not yet, I hope."

     "Attention investigators please make your way to the central communications room."

     "Well come on Miller, let's do what the speaker said and get going."

I get up and we make out way into the building taking out seats at the top. It looks every investigator is here, man this must be important. I can see CCG director Maxwell walk up to the podium and I assume this briefing is about the start.

     "Good morning my fellow investigators and thank you for coming. Today new requits will be assigned their partners. There are also some new investigators who transferred here from Japan. First, let me introduce First Class investigator Kureo Mado."

"Hello everyone, I can't wait to slaughter ghouls with you. If one of you are assigned to me please try to keep up."

This old guy gives me the creeps. One of his eyes is wider than the other.

     "Next I introduce Associate Special Class Investigator Juuzou Suzuya."

     "Hello everyone."

How can he be an Associate Special Class he does not look old enough. He seems like he has a lot of energy. I kinda want to get assigned to him I don't know why. He seems like he would be fun.

     "Lastly I introduce Special Class Investigator Kishou Arima. In Japan, he is known as the White Reaper and has not only survived an encounter with the Vampiric Demon Ghoul King."

Wow, he must be really powerful if he survived and fought the V+ rated hybrid. I see the director take the stans again.

     "Theses investigators have come here for one thing, The Vampiric Demon Ghoul King. They are the most impressive agents from Japan witch is why they are the only Japanese agents joining us."

Short Time skip

I was now walking the streets with my new partner. I was assigned to Associate Special Class Investigator Suzuya.

     "Sir, may I ask how old you are?"

     "No need to be so formal Andrews and yes you can."

     "How old are you? You look like you are sixteen with all due respect."

     "I am 35, I know I look like a kid but I think it makes it more fun don't you?"

Wow, he already made Associate Special Class at his age. We wander around some more and decide to grab a bite at eat. We make our way into the restaurant and sit. A server came and took our orders and left.

     "So Andrews why did you join the CCG?"

     "The V+ rated ghoul killed my son, I want him to feel the same pain," I said. If we are going to be working together I might as well be honest.

     "You want revenge, an understandable reason. If that is the case then I know I will have no problem with you not showing up for work. You were the old director's wife correct?"

     "Yes, Suzuya-San. What about you?"

     "Well, I used to be captive by a ghoul named Big Madam. I was her pet and had to partake in games where I had to kill for other ghouls amusement. I was only 17 at the time. One day during my 'preformances' the CCG rated the place and all the ghouls fled leaving me. The CCG took me in and the rest was history." (I can't remember the full story of how the CCG found him so sorry if it is not accurate)

     "How do we start our investigation sir?" I had no idea how we were going to find out who or were The Vampiric Demon Ghoul King resides. My partner took out the files he had on the V+ rated and started.

     "There is very little based on the report. It has general intel about the ghoul that I was briefed about on the flight here."

     "So investigator Suzuya you are telling me we have nothing to go on."

"I very little not none. It says here in the report that a couple of days ago he was spotted in an ally way walking to another ghoul. While his face was not seen, the eyewitness saw his kagunes and was able to identify him. Apparently, there was a fight between our V+ rated and the other ghoul."

"What is our next move Suzuya?"

     "Our first move is to pinpoint exactly where this took place. When we do we will visit the area to see if anything was left."

As he wrapped up our food arrived and we dug in. When our check came he offered to pay and I thanked him. We got un and headed out of the restaurant. Before parting ways to go home I bowed to him.

     "I am looking forward to working with you investigator Suzuya." He returned the bow.

     "Me to Andrews, have a safe night."

Walking home I have a smile on my face. We are starting our investigation now. I am one step closer to killing that monster once and for all.
