Hey, humans, I am back with another chapter. School has been stressful and I have been brainstorming. Ok let's get into it, shall we?

Jack's Pov

I walked home from the meeting. Things are not looking good for SHARK and I am afraid my ghouls in Hanford ad Lemoore will be killed by the CCG. With most of my fighters gone, we are very vulnerable to attack. As soon as GOAT arrives we will make our final attack on the CCG. With the shortage of men, I should call Hayden tomorrow and ask him to help. I shiver as the cold breeze hitting my hair. Making it home I go to my room and hit the sheets.

Before I know it my alarm goes off. I groan as I lazily get out of bed heading to the bathroom. After doing my hair I grab my glasses and head downstairs. I notice that Mrs. Marshall did not come home last night. Weird but I know she still takes extra sifts so I did not think much about it. I make flesh pancakes and some blood coffee with some human sausage with an eyeball omelet. Normally I do not make so much, but with everything going you never know when your last meal will be.

"Hey Jack we are letting ourselves in," I hear Brianna and Noah con in the door.

"Good morning you too. Take a seat I an just about done with breakfast." I grab the plates of food and bring them to the table.

"Were you planning to eat all this yourself Jack," Noah asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Yes, but I do not mind sharing with you two." Everyone must enjoy my cooking because all you could hear is the sound of flesh being eaten and the guzzling of blood coffee.

"My king you should open your own restaurant for ghouls. The food you make is tasty and you have technique," Brianna said as she finished her food.

"Maybe after I graduate. Before any of that though I need to eliminate Arima and Andrews. After they are out of the picture and you all are safe, I can worry about other things. Go put your plates in the sink. We have to get to school." We walk out the door and get into Noah's car.

"My king, do you regret becoming a rated ghoul," Noah randomly asked.

I thought about it for a moment before I answer. "Yes and no. I say no because as you know in our community the higher rating you have the more you are respected. There is more weight in your words when talking to a lower-ranked ghoul. However, with a higher rank means the more the CCG will hunt you down. I regret my rank because everything that has happened to our ghouls is my fault. If I had not taken the path of revenge when I was in high school then things would be different. I can not change my past so there is no point dwelling on what has happened, instead, I focus on what is ahead of me."

"Well spoken Jack. I could not agree more. We should not live in the past," Brianna says.

Arriving at the college Noah, Brianna and I get out the car and head toward the student union.

Time Skip

After our last class, my friends and I decide to hang out with Damien before his next class.

"So, how have you guys been doing?"

"Good just busy with homework you know. How about you," Noah asked.

"Same, though I have been following the news to. Things are heating up between the Vampiric Demon Ghoul King and Vanguard Action Squad."

"Who are you rooting for," I ask.

"Neither to be honest. All this bloodshed. The reason the CCG and ghouls like the v rated are in constant conflict is that neither side is willing to sacrifice or make compromises."
