Chapter 5: A deadly game of hide and seek

Hey humans, back at it again with another chapter! If you haven't already make sure to read the previous chapters. Some of this chapter will be the third person and from Jack's first-person pov. I will Indicate when it changes.  Ok let's get into the chapter, shall we? 

Third Person Pov

Jack and Hayden were dancing and having a blast at the party. Jack was dancing, but he could not stop thinking about what happened before the party. He did not know why The White Reaper kept him alive. Is it because he wanted a strong opponent? Jack was not sure, he decided to go sit down.

Jack's Pov

I took a seat down because my legs were tired. I soon see Kaneki walking up and taking a seat next to me.

     "Why the long face Jack?"

     "My legs are tired so I am resting." I'm not lying, they do hurt.

     "I can see that it is more than just your leg, so what is it and before you ask, I know because I have had that same look before."

There is no use lying to him I guess. "Before the party, I was roaming around in my ghoul outfit looking for some CCG to kill."

     "Why, all that does is draw attention?"

     "I do it because I hate doves anyway. I was running on the top of buildings when  Istotted a dove. He was alone so I attacked thinking it was going to be easy only to find out it was Arima The White Reaper. Long story short  I lost and he told me next time we will not be so merciful."

     "He is the best CCG agent in Japan and is always looking for a challenge. The same thing happens to me when he saw me, only I was helping Touka with a mission. I was not looking for a fight. He kept me alive because he saw the potential  I had to become stronger and it would appear the same thing happen to you."

     "Well up until then  I thought I was the badest ass out there. Guess I will have to be ready, then again I'm heading back to the states. What are the odds that I will see him there? Hey Ken it was really nice to meet all of you, but me and Hayden should get going. We told the private we would be at the airstrip by at least  nine-thirty."

     "Well, then I wish you a safe return home, Jack. Do remember the ghouls here are allies of The Vampiric Demon Ghoul King."

With that, I nod and he bowed. I went to the dance floor to get a very intoxicated Hayden so we can head back to the hotel. Making it back I throw Hayden on his bed and I lay in mine trying to drift to sleep. 

Time skip to Jack and Hayden arriving at there house

We walk into the house and the smell of blood hits our noses. Walking into the kitchen we see Hayden's mom Sarah making human pancakes. Fitting considering it was morning time when we arrived. Human pancakes are made with ground-up bone marrow instead of flower and you use blood to mix with. You then add the chunks of flesh and there you have it.

     "Oh good morning you too. You guys came just in time. I am finishing the last of the human pancakes now."

We took out seats and the pancakes were brought over to us to eat.

     "How was Japan boys?"

     "Well, I learned that my parents lived there for a short time. Apparently, I was born there and I met my parent's friends. I learned a lot and gained new allies." 

     "That is cool, How about you Hayden?"

I turn to him and see he is asleep. Being hung-over and jetlagged will do that to someone I guess. I continued to eat not paying attention to the tv in the background until the tv said breaking news. The last time there was breaking news it was about my dad attacking the stock market building. The screen showed the new CCG director in front of a podium.

     "Hellow and good morning citizens. I wanted to hold a press conference to announce a new recruit Elana Andrews wife of the former CCG director. What makes her special is she is the first successful American quinx making her a great asset to the CCG. I believe she has something to say to someone, in particular, isn't that right first-class investigator Andrews?"

I see her step up. Three guesses who she will be addressing. Me who killed her family and left her with nothing? No not a chase.

     "Vampric Deamon Ghoul King you took my son away from me. He was a sweet and kind child who did not deserve to die. I forgive you for taking my husband, but not this. You will be brought to justice, so do not get too comfortable because I'm coming for you. From what  I remember you like games, well game on."

With that, the original chanal was put back on and I start to laugh like a mad man. 

  Hayden's mom looked at me with like I lost my mind.

     "What is so funny?"

     "Isn't this great? The circle of revenge just keeps going. I killed her family because Jason killed mine and now she wants to kill me because I killed her son. It is a very beautiful cycle. The best part about it is that she has no idea that her son was a bully who would tease and pick on Hayden and me for years. She thinks her little boy was so sweet when he was the exact opposite. Oh, this is going to be fun indeed. Now the real question is with me starting college and getting good grades because I am smart, how will she figure out who I am? I can not wait!" I walk up to the tv. "Well, you are right about something I do like games. Ok, Elana, I'm in, come find me."

There you have it fokes. Elana's about to play the hardest game of hide and go seek to try to find the Vampiric Demon Ghoul king's identity. Will she figure it out and how will Arima fit into the mix? Say tuned to find out! VampireLord_2101 out!
